video stores.

Yeah, Hollywood Video, which was still big, but they had a bunch.

So what I would do is I would always come in, look for something new, but I'll immediately go to the use videotape section and try to find what they're selling.

So that's how I got like I've been really blessed to like.

I remember video stores.

I had one called Hollywood Video in my small town in central Pennsylvania, and going to Hollywood Video was my absolute favorite thing.

I cried when it closed.

Even when I was little and it closed, it felt like a part of me.

It's really, it's very like Jane Schoenbrun movie in that way, like where it's like in my head and I'm like, why do I keep having dreams that I'm in a video store like all the time? But yeah, no, I, trust me, I'm familiar.

Okay, cool.

So you had Hollywood Video, that was your store.

So you know the, maybe you do or don't know the anxiety of like on a Friday night, you could rent a stack of tapes or allowed to rent one or two.

Now I've seen this before.

I remember renting it from Hollywood Video.

So I saw this circa 2004.

This was a Sundance film in the year 2000.

[laughs] Yeah.

We were Hollywood Video people.

Yeah.

I mean, we had a Blockbuster card, but Hollywood was, like, closer to the house, so we-

There's...

I remember when I was in college working for Hollywood Video, a customer returning a video and being really, really, really upset, even though he found this movie in the foreign section, that it had subtitles.

Ah.

And he was like, "I don't watch movies with subtitles."

They had so much overhead in that business.

Dude, I miss Blockbuster and Hollywood Video and all those stores just going in there.

The smell of plastic or whatever it was.

And for some reason, it smelled like popcorn, even though they weren't making popcorn.
