Hollymead Elementary School

Just can't confirm that.

Albemarle grand jury indicted Title IX coordinator Aaron Stone, Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer Brody Downs, and former Holly Mead Elementary School principal Joe Macaulay.

Hey, when Macaulay left the building, they didn't not say any- they didn't say, "We can't talk about it." They said, "Well, he's, uh, he's out of here," and we asked what kind of a golden parachute he got, and they wouldn't let that out of the bag.

But it's not like they tried to hide who it was.

We have reported concerns in the past, and it came back to bite us in the bottom.

We still do it again in a heartbeat because it was the right thing to do." You talk to anyone tied to Hollymead Elementary, and they will absolutely confirm that Mike Sweeney was far from intelligent, and Mike Sweeney was far from charismatic, yet somehow he was able to get around and get, uh, get around the letter of the law, get around from the watchful eye of his principal, get around a Title IX investigation, and commit some of the most heinous, heinous, heinous of behaviors.

This right now is what is the top of the news cycle.

How do we then segue, ladies and gentlemen, into Hardywood Brewery and Star Hill Brewery merging into the Commonwealth of Virginia's most significant beer company? That happened yesterday.

Sweeney has not been convicted of these charges, so I need to clearly use alleged victims and prosecutors allege and charges here because he has not been convicted.

This nightmare has become much more damaging, much more horrific, and much more significantly impacting here in Albemarle County and specifically among our adolescent- youth, our elementary age population, even more specific, the most vulnerable of the elementary age population, those on a list provided to a social-emotional learning coach whose sole job was to counsel the most fragile of elementary age children at his respective school, Hollymead Elementary.

Now community members are left shivering, shuddering, shaking, furious, seeking revenge, infuriated, flabbergasted.

I mean, who's feeling all those feelings? I am.

I conclude by saying if, if and when, 'cause it's not if, but it's when, the kids find out that Mike Sweeney's out of jail, 'cause that's gonna spread like wildfire at Holly Mead Elementary.

Every kid at Holly Mead Elementary School and Albemarle County Public Schools is going to find out that Mike Sweeney's gonna be out on bail if he gets out on bail.

Everyone will know that.

Okay.

Especially when we're having problems with the people that, like, how many people are, how much, what I'm trying to say, how much are these people being watched? We know that, for instance, Sweeney allegedly had his own basement office.

Had an office in the corner of the library at Hollymead Elementary off the beaten path where he was able to unfortunately create a child sex dungeon where he committed the most decrepit and disgusting of acts while kids were at school as parents thought their children were safe.

a social and emotional learning coach, allegedly, that committed behavior with the most vulnerable students.

He was provided a list as a social and emotional learning coach of the most vulnerable kids at the elementary school.
