And I'll pass it over to you.
42:27
Thanks a lot.
42:28
So this is 80 Years of Women's Hour.
42:32
For 80 years, in kitchens and in living rooms, in offices, then cars, then in headphones, we have listened.
42:38
We have listened as women talk to women.
42:42
It might seem simple now, difficult to imagine my grandma's jubilation, tuning that radio in the kitchen to listen, just to listen to this hour devoted entirely to women.
42:54
The first time, she listened like a whisper, unsure, as if spying on her own mind, secrets slowly spoken into public spaces, no entry sign finally ripped off.
45:52
Have you always found that easy?

Have you got any kind of theory on what your kind of secret source is? Like, do you have a theory on how to become successful as a creative? Have you got any, like, pet theories on that?
11:30
No.
11:30
I don't.
11:34
Right, I don't know about the actual poetry.
11:37
I spend a long time writing and editing my poems and I feel like people always assume that I don't because whatever, they're not surreal, the vocabulary isn't that difficult, all of that.
11:51
So I feel like a lot of the poems, I've taken a long, long, long time to research the stuff behind them.
11:57
And I guess because some of them are kind of funny, like people find humor in them.

yeah, yeah, yeah.

Toughest challenge I have navigated so far has kind of widely been talking about death.
0:21
Like, we've had a couple of people close in the family and my grandma died.
0:26
And my daughter was really close to her.
0:27
She had four great grandmas when she was born, which is amazing.
0:32
And she was about nine when I had to go in and tell her.
0:37
But just... trying to explain things to a child that I don't know what I believe.
