Holden Beach

But, yeah, so we went to the beach for a few days.

Holden Beach is this beach that we started going to before we had kids.

When we were in youth ministry and really poor, we knew some people that had like a little— cottage kind of thing on honan beach and they would let us go like in march and march at honan beach is now they let us go in october also but also but they and also we went at these times because i was in law school so like we had to go around my schedule you know and stuff but It was cold when we would go like you'd walk on the beach and the sand might like, you know, pound you.

But we like Totem Beach because there's no condos or anything.

Or, yeah.

Or duck or those areas.

But down towards the south part of the state, that's where like Holden Beach is.

And this is a super narrow island.

It's right above the South Carolina border.

If you've ever heard of Oak Island or Holden Beach, that's that area of the world.

And it is growing and it's growing very fast.

And their sewer capacity is very far behind.

... every time I've played golf down there, a- and I've played in, like, Calabash and down near Holden Beach and all the Big Cat courses and all that, and, and it... there's always houses, like, right on the course.

[laughs] So you- you're always like, "Oh, God, if I shank one off to the right, I'm gonna be bouncing off somebody's roof," which I did a few times.

Yeah, kinda like what we get here.
