I'm not going to tell you the whole story about Frodo as he leaves Bag End in Hobbiton where the Sackville Bagginses take over his house and he journeys with Sam and Mary and Pippin and they go to Bree and they meet an innkeeper and they get a note from Gandalf and they connect with Aragorn who becomes their guide and their protector and they move... east again and they circumvent Weathertop because the ringwraiths are there, but they end up having to stand against the ringwraiths anyway.

And Frodo gets hurt.

He gets stabbed in the shoulder and they just barely get to Rivendell where the elves are.

Finally.

The Witch King sends his second in command, Kamul, directly to Hobbiton to raid Bag End.

But Kamul arrives literally moments too late.

Frodo Baggins has just walked out the door.

Still, perhaps the show could find ways to foreshadow the final destruction of Sauron and the One Ring many years down the road.

I envision a pan-out to a frame narrative that depicts Mayor Sam telling the stories to his children in Hobbiton.

Maybe one of the younger Gamjis is frightened to hear that Sauron and the One Ring survived the Second Age cataclysms, and Sam reassures them all that he knows for sure that the One Ring is no more and that Sauron is no longer a threat.
