HM Prison Shepton Mallet

so um what what have been the investigations that you've done then that really sort of stick in your mind the ones that you've really enjoyed doing which which locations would would there be do you think

Um, Shepton Mallet prison for me, always on my bucket list has been an old, like American style prison with the wings and metal cages that go over the, you know, like from the, the, the balcony area, um, the metal doors.

So Shepton Mallet for me, it was always the place I went to go, but it was like three and a half hours drive for me.

And I thought, this is not good, but I had the opportunity to go and I went with a mate and, um, Yeah, well, I went for the first time last year, actually.

And it's amazing how fear, you know, gets in the way of this work, this development, the ability to sit.

um but you know it's and it depends on what experiences you've had prior to coming in this like i always laugh and i have said this on the podcast before but when i first started sitting i think part of the reason why i was so uh jumpy was because my previous experiences of spirit up until that point have been on um ghost hunts and i remember my the last ghost hunt i ever What ever went on before I started developing my mediumship was an all-night ghost hunt for my birthday at Shepton Mallet Prison, where we started the night looking at, in essence, the torture rooms.

Then we went to the shooting range.

Then we went to the bit of the prison where they'd have to do labour walking along these ramps.

subpoena.H. C. Darby called it the oldest public record in England and probably the most remarkable statistical document in the history of Europe, and it nearly didn't make it.

It was evacuated to Bodmin Prison in the First World War and Shepton Mallet Prison in the second.

It's been rebound in 1320, in the Tudor period, 1819, 1869, 1952, and 1986.
