Hiwassee River

So we take you out on a school bus, drop you off, and you run all the way back to us.

And it's all through the Cherokee National Forest along the Hiawassee River.

You get to see some beautiful views and you get to climb the Wacheezee Mountain, which is 3,000 feet elevation gain, about over three miles.

Okay.

So what tourists are attracted to, locals are attracted to as well, but there's multiple rivers that come and connect to Chattanooga.

You have the Hiwassee River, you have the Ocoee River, and you have the Tennessee River, and you have a million other inlets and streams and swimming holes.

So swimming holes are huge, and I wish I could give you names, but none of them really have names.

[laughs]

My husband's really into it.

He is working with some coworkers to go out early in the morning to catch some fish on their kayaks, which is a ton of fun.

And I would say tubing down the Hiwassee River is another local one.

There's parts of the Hiwassee River that are rather, um, lazy and quiet, and they don't have really rapids.
