Hivites

I have heard them crying out because of the slave drivers and I'm concerned about their suffering.

So I've come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey, the home of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them.

So now go.

and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters, and I know their sorrows.

I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land, and a large unto a land flowing with milk and honey, unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me, and i have also seen the oppression wherewith the egyptians oppress them come now therefore and i will send thee unto pharaoh that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of israel out of egypt and moses said unto elohim who am i that i should go unto pharaoh and that i should bring forth the children of israel out of egypt And he says, Certainly I will be with thee, and this shall be a token unto thee that I have sent thee.

When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve Elohim upon this mountain.

And Elohim said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, Yahweh, the Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Jacob, and the Elohim of Isaac has sent me unto you.

This is my name forever.

This is my memorial unto all generations." And he said unto them, And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites unto a land flowing with milk and honey.

And they shall hearken to thy voice, and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt.

Therefore he blessed you still, so I delivered you out of his hand.

And you went over Jordan and came unto Jericho, and the men of Jericho fought against you, and the Amorites and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Gergesites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, and I delivered them into your hand.

And I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites, but not with thy sword nor with thy bow.

And I have given you a land for which you did not labor, and cities which you built not, and you dwelt in them, of the vineyards and olive yards which you planted not, do you eat? Now therefore fear Yahweh, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth.

He built everything he desired in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and throughout his entire realm.

There were still some people living in the land who were not Israelites, including the Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.

These were descendants of the nations whom the people of Israel had not destroyed.

So Solomon conscripted them for his labor force, and they serve in the labor force to this day.

Solomon employed at forced labor all the descendants of the people of Canaan, whom the Israelites had not killed when they took possession of the land.

These included Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, whose descendants continue to be slaves down to the present time.

Israelites were not used for forced labor, but served as soldiers, officers, chariot commanders, and cavalry troops.

There were 250 officials in charge of the forced labor working on the various building projects.

So look what he says in verse 2.

And I will send an angel before thee, and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivites, and the Jebusite.

Is anybody listening? And the cellulites.

Nobody's listening.

And if we go back to the verses at the beginning of chapter 33, before Steve began the reading, We read this, "...then the Lord said to Moses, leave this place, you and the people you brought out of Egypt, and go up to the land I promised." There you are, the land I promised.

"...on oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, I will give it to your descendants, I will send an angel before you, and drive out the Canaanites, the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites." Okay, it's easy for me to say.

And actually this promised land, this land flowing with milk and honey, this land of blessing is the land of promise that God has given to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and that has come down to Moses.

But they've been enslaved under Pharaoh for so long.

And that is the mission of the kingdom.

And remove them from Egypt into a place that is spacious, a place flowing with milk and honey, the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, Jebusites, and you can add other ites.

You know, there can be a series of ites.

And therefore, the kingdom of God is not just a person.
