And before that, we had Charli XCX's Brat and Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft.

So obviously this is very different from all that.

We have much more interior monologue, wordy type songs.

It has stayed a favorite.

With my Spotify wrapped, this was my number two favorite.

for that year love love love love this song and i also i do i have the added bonus of getting to have special memories with it because like i said this came out just about a month before i was getting married and i was in jamaica and billy eilish's hit me hard and soft was gonna come out that week it was towards the end of my wedding week but in the meantime torture poets was all i was playing and my niece is a swifty and she's made my sister a swifty as a consequence And so my sister, apparently like up to a point, she was monitoring what she listened to.

And I think it probably was around this time.

Well, it was very t- yeah, exactly.

And then the same thing with, uh, Hit Me Hard and Soft, like she blocked her from Hit Me Hard and Soft, Billie Eilish from Hit Me Hard and Soft by releasing a variant like at that same time-

Mm-hmm

... just so Billie wouldn't get a number one, which it felt targeted and it felt, once again, like bullying.
