And he did a lot to promote the history of the Garda, so while he did a lot about the history of the Gardas, I kind of looked at it based on the genealogy angle and family history, because no one is really doing much out there in relation to that.

So what I did one day was I decided to set up a Facebook group, um, just to get a bit of interest out there to see what people may have, uh, called Garda Síochána and Siddharth Garda, Genealogy and History of Ireland.

And as of this week, there's just over nine and a half thousand members from across Ireland and even Australia, Canada, America, that everyone who has connections, whether they be retired members, relatives of those who are serving, people in interest in police and history, or for any other reason.
