Let me tell you, they really, really were.

From 1992 to 1996, I had a holiday job at the Port House Hotel in Histon, a village just north of Cambridge.

Uh, the hotel had a deal with Cambridge United whereby the teams playing Cambridge stayed in the hotel pre-match.

They generally a- arrived mid-morning, had an early lunch before setting off for the Abbey Stadium.

You know? And it's, it is like a bit like a sandwich.

Yeah, Paul and I had a bit of a debrief actually, 'cause last night we were at Histon, at one of your venues.

Uh, ha- had a lovely time there, um, with the, um, lovely Layla doing the teaching.

And, uh, yeah, Paul and I had a debrief on the way home about all the adventures that we had d- during that dance.

Mm.

So having gone to your class last night at Histon-

Chesterton, Histon, Waterbeach, and Oakington have each been explored, and have each proved disappointing.

Histon is a little bit of a younger crowd.

I think they're more open maybe to a bit of experimentation.

Can I just say that last night we were

at Histon, and isn't it nice to know we were described as a younger crowd? I thought the music last night was a lovely set and actually if I compare it to the sets we would hear where we come from in Derby, Nottingham, it was very different.

So yeah, I got that sense that there is a difference.

that was the DJ, wasn't it? Yeah,

It's on at two sites, Palace Green and Cross Green, and both will have plenty of local producers and a focus on apples.

The next Great Shelford Country Market is on Wednesday the 7th of October, with Histon Country Market on the 9th.

Wilbraham Farmers Market is on Saturday the 10th.

Caxton Farmers Market is on Sunday the 11th.

And the Farmers Fair Market in Histon is on the 17th.

Next up, the Cambridge University's Botanic Gardens Apple Day is on the 18th of October.

And in other news, Shepreth Hazy Pale is a collaboration between Pixie Brewing and the Plough in Shepreth.

But we're hoping to open up a regular Wednesday afternoon delivery slot to the Cambridge area.

Police say the thirty-nine-year-old Peterborough man was driving a white Yutong coach when it struck the pedestrian.

The coach had been traveling westbound on the A14 between Histon and Milton.

The pedestrian, a thirty-three-year-old man from Cambridge, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coach driver was uninjured.
