Hiroyuki Kitazume

Yeah.

So, um, instead that job went to Kitazume Hiroyuki.

This would make Zeta Gundam the first Tomino show since Gundam itself without animation direction by Kogawa Tomonori, who did the job on Ideon, Zabungle, Dunbine, and Algern, four shows in a row.

But we should note that Kitazume's roots here ran deep.

Uh, he decided to become an animator after watching Mobile Suit Gundam on television.

Again, they're all fanboys.

And he joined Kogawa's studio, Studio Bibu, which we've talked about several times, after he graduated college.

Under Kogawa, Kitazume worked on the Ideon films and Zabungle as an in-betweener.
