Hilton Head Island

I should have asked them that.

From Hilton Head.

So like just sharing, like that's where my husband and I go every year, sharing some of our favorite spots.

We were talking about like There's a little like convenience store in Palmetto Dunes where you pay.

My mom doesn't realize she follows things.

She's like, everybody's talking about Hilton Head lately.

No, no.

Like, no, you follow

a lot of Hilton Head things.

Or when you see something about Hilton Head, you're like, ooh, I'll read this.

Yes.

No,

This is a big deal.

After being in Minneapolis for years, you're now near Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Yeah.

Yep.

So I retired from the start to be.

My wife got a job on Hilton Head.

We're living near Hilton Head.

I have resumed writing a column now for TalkNorth.com. It's free.

And so there's an area called Reynolds that has some great courses.

Hilton Head, of course.

It's like a couple hours away.

Wow.

So what did semi-retirement look like? And is there any vision or goal of retirement down the road?

So semi-retirement was, I actually was moved to Hilton Head, was at home when my kids were in middle school and high school.

And I served on a couple of boards and did some consulting roles, but nothing full-time, but allowed me to be a part of my family.

At the time that they ended up going to college a year early, which was happened to be the same.

My dad's just an old school sales guy from a long time ago, and he's done exceptionally well in sales, but he had all those tapes growing up.

I think I found them a couple weeks ago when I was home in Hilton Head, and it's just a great – I don't know.

I think that kind of wisdom – it's probably more important than ever before.

I mean, there's an old baseball player, Wee Willie Keeler, who played at the turn of the last century.

He grew up partly with Teddy Mellencamp.

Yeah, on Hilton Head.

Yeah.

Interesting.

I'm always documenting on Instagram.

twitter more of my like same thoughts live thoughts as it happened i'm talking about sam's list on twitter linkedin that's where you'll see like one post a day for me more um grammatically correct and more thought out over there um and then a year ago i used to actually post videos on tiktok every day but i was just kind of like half doing it i wasn't putting much into it nothing really had structure to it or reasoning behind it this that you are correct like this spend in itself and this like random side project i had to now take advantage of that made me actually kind of take the video content more seriously in a weird way but it happened at the worst time because i had two bachelorette trips back to back and then in between those two bachelorette trips i was at this all-in summit in los angeles so i live in new york city Bachelorette number one, I was in like Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Then I had the All In Summit.

And then I had another bachelorette down in Destin, Florida.
