Nothing heavy, uh, too terribly heavy.

Norbert is still some 1,800 miles away, east southeast of Hilo, so it's still, uh, more than 10 days out.

So, uh, right now all of the models are not exactly agreeing, so we're just gonna let this play out and we'll find out, uh, here in the next couple of days the general direction.

But once again, uh, this is what's, uh, transpiring for you here as we go over the next seven days.

At our Kaimuki branch church located at 1361 Palolo Avenue, gospel services are held on Wednesday evenings only at 7:00 PM.

Tinaloa in Hilo, Hawaii, by Pastor Leonard Q. Asangol Senior in Koloa, Kauai, by Pastor Hannibal Espera in Balogo, Pika, Hawaiian, and by Pastor Vesper Espera in President Roxas, Cotabato, Mindanao, Philippines.

At our Maui branch church in Lahaina, Maui, services are held every second Sunday of the month.

You are welcome to attend these services regardless of church affiliations.

Honolulu regular gas rose a penny last night to 5.35 a gallon.

Kahului 5.44, Hilo 5.52, Lihue 5.66 a gallon.

For comparison, LA 5.95, San Francisco $6.03, Yosemite $7 a gallon.

And on Wall Street this morning, the Dow is down more than 220 points.

So we'll keep an eye on that situation.

Like I said, it's far in the future, yes, but that does, uh, serve as a good time and good notice for us to get prepared for the rest of hurricane season, 'cause we're now in the peak of hurricane season.

And then slowly things start to dry up.

We're still facing some south winds behind Lowell that continues to bring up the humidity.

94 over Kailua-Kona, 89 in Hilo, and 90 degrees is what it feels like over Lihue.

And taking a closer look, finally the trade winds will be making a comeback by the time we get into probably Thursday night into Friday, and that will be lingering into the weekend, which is good news.

But we're not getting much of a break.

The reason I don't wear them is they're too hot.

And one time when I was living in Hilo, I wore one in my apartment elevator, and the neighbors were like, oh, the Islanders, did you play for them? And I'm like, no, this is a hockey team in New York.

And she goes, I know.

I thought she was referring to the Hawaii Islanders at first.

I know it was.

He was born in Hilo, Hawaii.

And Hilo was really having a boom at the time because of this whole sugar industry.

That's why his parents ended up coming there.

He's born to immigrants who moved to Hawaii in 1906 to work on the sugar plantations.

He was the ninth of 11 children and like the youngest of the boys, like six boys.

He graduates from Hilo High School.

At 17, he starts a small little trucking service, like a delivery service on the island where he delivers things to businesses around the island.

And we'd roll them on, roll them off a ship.

And they came into the port in Hilo.

The shipping company then, and oh, and then also we had enough cattle here with Parker Ranch.

We brought a foreign livestock ship in because we couldn't, there was no livestock ships in the U.S. fleet.
