Hill of Allen

And with the evenings and mornings now a whole lot darker and somewhat colder, it's safe to say that the sun has set on a truly memorable Irish summer.

Whether you were going to work in shorts and stopping for a swim in your local river or canal on the way home, or going for runs and walks in that balmy Irish sun across endless Irish bogs, whether it's the Hill of Allen or the sun-soaked Curragh Kildare, we really are spoiled here locally.

I think the summer of 2026 for me will always be remembered for the vibe, the mood, the ambience that somewhat reminded me of those early lockdown days.

And then there's boxing.
