perfect perfect so technically for those who don't know Higurashi there's a lot of version there me personally I'm thinking about like the goo one not naturally like the best but you'll see it out online see what you like most um but it came out in 2020 it's like i said it's a horror psychology anime with like a lot of sneaky plot the story for like a group of rural village like of friends that live in a rural village in the 1983 And they're plagued by a series of like brutal and mysterious murder.

And in those murder, there's also like a big team of like paranoia, madness, time loop.

I think you're on to something because I think about halfway into episode five, one of the staff member from Zero Seventh Expansion, which is a very, very, very small game company.

It's like less than 20 people that produces the When They Cry series, including Higurashi and of course Umineko, which we're discussing today.

One of his main collaborators passed away.

And I think by the time you get to the end of the answer arcs and you're at chapter eight, like you can absolutely feel like the... awareness of mortality and this really fervent urge to express every possible idea he's ever had about the things he loves the most, which is women's thighs, mystery novels, and the elusive nature of truth and fiction.

And I have to assume... that these are real Jollibee like advertising posters that they have taken and they have run like a 2002 visual novel background photo editing thing on to make them fit in with the setting.

You know, like if you're reading like Higurashi or whatever where it's like all the backgrounds are just photos with like crazy Photoshop filter stuff happening.

It's like that, but they've done that on these posters and then pasted them in the background.

And I think that's just amazing.
