What do you, Tyler, do you remember the first song you ever learned on the guitar?

Acoustic guitar, I think it was Nothing Else Matters because it was like, oh, I don't have to fret anything, I just play the open strings.

And then it was probably Back in Black, Highway to Hell, and a bunch of ACDC tracks.

Did you feel like you were... like naturally good at the guitar at, you know, when you were starting out or was it like everybody else when they start out where your fingers have a mind of their own, like your head saying, okay, you're supposed to do this, but your fingers are not doing those things, right?

Going straight into the top five, this week, exactly 20 years ago, here's the first single from an album called Sam's Town, but can you name the group performing it?

And what's his name? He's got the Devil Horns, Highway to Hell.

From... 1979, Highway to Hell.

Oh my goodness.

Now this one is unopened as well.

I don't know that these are like the original albums or a remake at some point.

I don't know, some of these, like these unopened ones, I don't know where these are coming from.

For one, it was exactly what you said.

Highway to Hell is, I think I said in the ACDC episodes, right there with Back in Black is my favorite.

ACDC album.

Van Halen 2 is my favorite Van Halen album.

So the band releases it, they go on tour where they can, they keep building their following, they keep refining their sound.

And eventually, with Mutt Lang in 1979, they do Highway to Hell, it's huge.

Bon Scott dies by Misadventure.

Brian Johnson comes in, they do Back in Black, and it's one of the biggest albums of all time.

What do you guys do about nice things?

Yeah, so, you know, but they just kind of keep going.

And, of course, Highway to Hell comes out in 79.

It does pretty darn well.

After lukewarm sales of their first five albums, as 1980 began, ACDC were finally traveling in the fast lane, thanks to their album Highway to Hell, released the previous summer.

They toured non-stop for six months, all the way until the end of January 1980, and then went straight into a studio in London to start writing a follow-up.

Angus and Malcolm Young began coming up with the basics of new songs based on riffs that they'd gathered while on the road so that lead singer Bon Scott could later match lyrics to them.

ACDC used to play there because it's on Canning Highway, and Canning Highway was the inspiration for the song Highway to Hell.
