High on Fire

I mean, Sleep, we haven't talked about Sleep on the podcast yet.

It's been quite controversial, and to be honest, until I have listened to the album, I don't really wanna be another person giving Sleep a kicking, 'cause obviously Sleep was like Ma- we talked about Matt Pike last week 'cause he's in High on Fire, and he, as far as most people are concerned, I think he is Mr.

Sleep.

Well, they have released an album without him.

You know, we expose ourselves to different things.

So like Matt got to revisit High on Fire and I get to revisit Rest in Peace.

And it's like, oh yeah, this is good stuff.

I totally slept on that album.

They've got the lot.

You know, this upcoming tour in... december they're going out with high on fire and gnome i expect them to up the production now i expect it to be a you know a bit more overblown and you

know

remember the kentish town show that was like this sort of big london homecoming they they kind of hinted at it didn't they you know big steps and they had the backing singers and all that kind of thing going on and i think now it's time to really integrate all that and make it ceremonial almost

So, uh, and, and bar time during high on fire.

So everybody wins.

Yeah.

I mean, so I think that's one of the cool things that a lot of the bigger bands are doing now, like with touring, you know, you Metallica acid bath, fucking even high on fire, dude.

They're like fly, fly to a region.

They play a few shows and it's not, you know, they might have three or four shows in a row.

I would turn my phone around and be like, I think this is where it looks

like.

I have this when we toured with High on Fire and Municipal Waste.

Oh, shit.

I went to see High on Fire just recently.

It's a bit stupid now I think about it.

But just to show Lizzie the guitar sound, I was like, we have to go and watch this band.

I missed it entirely live, but you were a bit like, stop booking damnation metal bands.
