Next up in the news, it looks like Netflix, Crunchyroll, and other major streaming services have left some anime from 2026 in limbo.

So most anime have found a streaming site where they can, uh, be watched, most notably Netflix, Crunchyroll, Disney, and HIDIVE.

But it looks like there is a list of anime, including Draw This Then Die, uh, um, which is an English dub, and Dodge Danjo Cyborg 009, and, uh, Yami Shibai Season 17, and a bunch of other shows simply have nowhere where you can go watch them from this summer 2026 season.

So if you're a fan of something like Draw This Then Die, which was, uh, a hit from Shin-Ei Animation, well, it, uh, doesn't seem like there's really any way to, anywhere to watch this streaming, at least according to, uh, Comic Book Resources.

It sucks, right? 'Cause, like, Crunchyroll does have a really strong catalog of anime.

Um, the only other place that we can rely on is HIDIVE, but they're clearly not able to get the rights to a lot of stuff.

Um, Netflix also sucks [laughs] and, uh, has a decent slate, but I feel like they're losing out on a lot of anime 'cause it's a- uh, it's all going to Crunchyroll.

Uh, I feel like whenever I, I browse manga on N- or manga, anime on Netflix, I'm like, "There's not much to, to watch here right now." So Crunchyroll really is, like, the, the big name for anime for overseas viewers, or at least viewers, um, in the West.

And I don't know, I kinda hope that, like, maybe HIDIVE will- We'll get some speed behind it [laughs] and maybe they can start getting some titles so we can all move over to HIDIVE.

I'm usually not that person, right? Like, I'm not like, "Oh my God, let's all, let's all leave this one company 'cause they made some weird decisions that we don't like." I'm not...

I, I just kinda take it, like, piece by piece.

But then it makes decisions like this, and I get from, like, a business standpoint they're trying to align with industry trends, especially on this, this digital storefront, or, like, this, th- the, th- this digital-only era that is becoming even more and more of a controversial topic today.

I want to say this one's actually one of the ones HiDive has.

And it was just always really, really sort of difficult to follow.

From what I understand, As we are speaking right now, some of it at least is on HiDive, except that it's disappearing in like two hours.

So by the time the podcast comes out, it's going to be unavailable.

But it's a really fun show that doesn't really focus on... you know there's always you know it's a cop show so there's always sort of like an action scene uh you know or whatever that goes with it but it's kind of it's always sort of goofy silly stuff and it really focuses more just kind of like on the daily daily lives of these people because it's really more of a slice of life show than than anything else um it's just really fun um And, you know, one of those that I think kind of span, you know, particularly in today when slice of life is like a really big genre.

And, uh, I have another one, I just can't remember what it is.
