Hey There Delilah

Carrie Underwood was in there with Before He Cheats, which is kind of like one of her iconic tunes.

Hey There Delilah, which is an old song, but I imagine it was probably charting because it got featured on some teen TV show.

And then Glamorous from Fergie rounding out the

10.

And, you know, he did the Disturbed stuff.

He did Hey There Delilah.

He did Paralyzer for Finger Eleven.

I was there for, I want to say five, five or six months and they just couldn't afford to hire me.

So Plain White Teas were around between 2007 and 2010 as far as charting in the UK.

One top 40 of which it got to number 10, in the top 10, I mean, and that was Hey There Delilah.

So that was their only charting single.

Albums, one top 40 and that got in the top 10.

Other songs, Hate, I really don't like got to number 53 in 2007.

Rhythm of Love, number 60 in 2010.

Now, bearing in mind they're American, in their home country, the US of A, Hey There Delilah got to number one, but that is still their only real success as their next single release was in 2008 with 1, 2, 3, 4.

That got to number 34, which is still good in America, but... you know and um rhythm of love um which over here was a flop at number 60 got to number 38 on the billboard so there we go so um they had a number one though in

That's a cool story.

And then also like the Inescapable song that Hey There Delilah Plain White Tease thing.

How'd you get involved in that? That was enormous.

Yep.

And let's see, I got...

I got asked, I had made some records for their record company at the time, Fearless Records.

And I got asked by the owner of Fearless to do that, basically, to produce a version of Hey There Delilah.

And it is kind of a long convoluted story of how that song ended up becoming a number one hit and all this craziness.

So they say hate is a strong word, but I really, really, really don't like you, so let's go with that, okay?

"Hey There Delilah" is the gr- "Hey There Delilah" is the greatest song of all time.

I say that all the time.

What about, what about just like, "Hey, Dave, are you familiar with Hey There Delilah"? Great song.

Anyway, let's continue.

That's the first time we've ever disagreed on a

And when you lock eyes with them, and I really mean looking into their soul like a college freshman playing Hey There Delilah on the acoustic, just staring into them.

I don't know why, but I just have Hey There Delilah stuck in my head, and that's not what you said.
