Hersheypark Stadium

I can only imagine.

I would have to say, celebrity-wise, there was one time at a concert at Hershey Park Stadium where Ronnie and I got to go backstage to interview new kids on the block.

And it was not the greatest experience of an interview.

We roll up to New Kids on the block, and Ronnie gets ready to start the interview.

yeah so it was it was very close to that uh they did a lot of the most of their you you want to hear peace cells and all the big mega death that you got to hear that hanger 18 it's good but awesome iron maiden man they i didn't realize i didn't even realize they were doing this they they sang only songs off their like six years first six or seven albums so like you know of power slave and killer it just a number of the just some big big hits sounded great and those are another guys you know we've talked about them on other other episodes that just every one of them just can play the out of their instrument and bruce dickinson his vocals are still very solid i mean these guys are older dudes now you know but musically just sharp very very good they do have a new drummer uh touring the original drummer uh retired from touring and all that but this other guy was fine um but they did like rhyme with the ancient mariner live from powerslave and just like and it was just it was another one of those like experiences it was it was a hershey park stadium which is unlike the amusement park there which wasn't running just that the rides and everything weren't running the week we were there um But the weather was absolutely perfect.

You could not have a nicer late summer evening.

It was not humid, not buggy, not sticky, none of it.

This is about two hours away.

And and trust me, if you ever have a choice to go to a different show than Hershey Park Stadium, go to the other show.

Well, so yeah, stadium.

Did they have an arena there? But this was the stadium.

Axl was on point that night.

Fast forward to two years ago, we went to Hershey Park Stadium because that was the closest they were coming to Buffalo.

So I flew in from Texas and we drove from Buffalo.

And there was a huge reason, not that I'm, I like Guns N' Roses, I'm not a big fan, but somebody was opening up for them that I've never seen before.
