He's only 18 months.

Is it true that that's why he's getting so many illnesses, 'cause we've already had them, or is that another myth? [laughs]

So that's, there's a bit of half-truth in there.

We do build up our immunity when we get exposure to bugs and common bugs, common viruses, bacterias, et cetera, and that's because our immune system is so clever, um, and makes copies of it and says, "When that intruder comes back in, I know that." So your response will still be there, but not be a- as amplified and completely knacker out your immune system.

That's where vaccines play a huge role.

Over years, we've done a really great job to getting people the measles vaccine.

And for us to get a good immune response, you have to have like 95, 97% of the population immunized to get to that herd immunity.

And we talked about that during COVID.

Because measles is so infectious, that it produces like on the order of 15, 17 cases per every case that you have, you have to immunize a lot of the population to do that.

Right.

And I think it's this whole misconception of herd immunity, like everybody has to have this vaccine to get to herd immunity, but I think you could tell the audience about herd immunity, and it doesn't happen with vaccines, right, Jeremiah?

Yeah, I mean, I think that the whole proposition of vaccines are extremely, is extremely dubious, and I recommend everyone read Dissolving Illusions.
