um but yeah enough people remember and maybe it's because we uh mentioned the hercules cortez red bastine uh tag team tragedy not all that long ago kind of sparked something but in terms of popularity having lived through what i would say cortez and bastine one of the most popular tag teams in awa

Yeah, when they were tag team champs, I was five, six years old.

One of my favorite things about them is they would, on the finish of the match, Cortez would go in for the pin.

The other tag team wrestler would try to come in to get him off.

Red would use Hercules Cortez's back, jump off of him, hit the guy.

In the '60s, early '70s, Red Bastien was over major big time as a babyface in the AWA.

Former World Tag Team Champion with, uh, Hercules Cortez, and then of course, The Crusher.

Teamed with, uh, Billy Red Lyons for a while.

Do I put Red on the AWA Mount Rushmore as one of the four guys that I would think had the biggest overall impact on the AWA? No, but he certainly made an impact.
