I'm really excited for the episode that I have prepared today because we're going to be talking about another Nancy Drew computer game, which I do every 13 episodes or so, and the game that we just so happen to be talking about today is Curse of Blackmoor Manor.

the 11th Nancy Drew computer game in the Her Interactive franchise.

I was so excited when I saw that this game was coming up on the schedule for October because this is such a good spooky Halloween type of game.

There's a few games that I think fit that criteria.

I'm not sure which Penvalin she's supposed to be.

Francis Sherborne Ridley Watts, Brigitte Penvalin, Karl Nesselrode, Richard Penvalin, the Jester Don John of Austria, and I'm not sure which Penvalin he's supposed to be, but he is in the Great Hall, Count Alexander Bobrinsky, William Penvalin, Douglas Vickers, John Penvalin, and the Earl of Daloise, Malachi Penvalin.

It's quite a few people, quite a few real portraits of I just think it's so crazy that her interactive used all these real portraits for the art in this game.

I also did a reverse image search on Jane's mom because she has her picture in her room.

It's just, I think those are the kinds of games that...

And, and, and Her Interactive, who ma- the studio who makes the game, it was, like, something like games for, to teach girls or something like that, right? Because it's, it's centered around learning things and being kind of a generative member of society in the way that a lot of boy games, as it were, are not.

Mm-hmm.

Like you're saying, they're about being heroes, they're about the military industrial complex, um, they're about, like, serving the nation or essentially being a state of, uh, an agent of the state in a way, which [laughs] um, not that I care about, like, the struggles of men as much as, um, I might be it leading onto, but- Yeah ...

I always felt very excluded from Mario Kart and even Pokemon because it felt like those were all for boys.

But the company that makes the Nancy Drew games is called Her Interactive.

And so I said, that's for me.

That's a girl game.
