Henry Koster

He, like Houston and Mankiewicz and now Sorkin, is one of those guys who wrote scripts for other people long before he got to direct.

Some of those for Wilder were Ninochka for Lubitsch, Ball of Fire for Hawks, and even apparently did some rewrites on The Bishop's Wife for Henry Koster.

Wilder ended up with six Oscars and 22 nominations.

The ones were for writing and directing The Last Weekend, for writing Sunset Boulevard, and for writing, directing, and producing The Apartment.

Three Wise Girls is the Bodine 1932 pre-code with Jean Harlow, Mae Clark, and Mary Provost, and this of course is the Henry Koster film from 1936, the musical.

Uh, I am such an idiot.

So anyway, I- I'm still excited about this one, and please forgive my boneheaded, uh, ridiculousness for not- for getting these crossed, uh, on the titles.
