Henry B. Plant High School

And Plant.

Plant High School.

And so from there I played baseball and football at Plant.

I played baseball and football at Plant.

... a sign language interpreter in the classroom.

Very helpful.

I can't imagine at Plant High School, you-

After sitting in the front row and-

six catches, 143, two touchdowns.

Let's not forget Plant High School's Christian Watson.

And I think, Lovey, the difference is they have – in the last couple weeks, they've gone out and gotten some veterans – on the offensive line.

They got a guy from the Chargers.

That...

I think Plant High School should have the Robber Barons.

Mm-hmm.

There is a Plant High School in Tampa.

Yeah.

Um, anyway, that's, uh, our fantasy football mascots.

I don't wanna give you...

Yeah, I, yeah, September, you know, it's, I was, actually, when I was coaching at, uh, Plant High School, a kid got in front of me, and I was, we were just running.

I tell him, "Hey, let's go on the s- soft surface from the sidewalk." And then he listened to me, but he didn't give me no warning, he just jumped right in front of me, and then next thing I know is my body was going that way, my body, my mind was stopping, and then I just kind of tweaked it.

And then it went fine for a run, and then next thing, the next days I can't bend my knee, and then I can't flip from one side of the bed to the other without lifting my leg with my hands.

Yeah

...

but at the same time I'm like, "You know what? It is what it is," and I was, you know, still with the Plant High School, so I would do the Elliptigo-

Okay

You got y- USF verse Temple.

You coulda had it at Plant High." I'm just s- like, I'm just saying.

Well, next year they'll have it at the USF Stadium.

No, I don't think it's gonna be ready, is it?

he went to Jesuit, and then...

Well, and Christian Watson from the Packers went to Plant.

The, the commentators on the Packers, uh, Bucs game yesterday goes, "Christian Watson, number nine for the Packers, played about four miles from here at Plant High School."

He used to go to Plant.

He's going back home to Tampa in this game.

He gets to play, you know, HB Plant, former player in high school.

So I think that they'll try to feature him a little bit more, even though the Bucs know that he's been the driving force for that offense.

This is probably, after this week, this is probably the last week that you could sell him and get, let's say, a Justin Jefferson for owners who are panicked on the quarterback situation and the injury.

And then there was one other transaction report listing.

It was about St. Pete born and Plant High alumni Jake Woodford designated for assignment on the 25th, and he pitched for three different teams in the Major Leagues [chuckles] this season.

Well, Tuesday, Jake elected free agency rather than accept the assignment to Durham.

[bat hits ball] Ground ball, left side, base hit into left.

His replacement was another day rental.

St. Pete born and Plant High alumni Jake Woodford was called up for the first time with the Rays after he was claimed off waivers from the Cubs in August.

He pitched on the 24th for one-and-one-third innings, walked one, struck out three, gave up three hits, one a home run, and earned three runs by the Yankees.

Tampa Bay was the third Major League team he repped this season, and he actually signed with the Rays last November, was traded to Milwaukee on March 24th, just days before the start of the season.
