But at the same time, yeah, it's a huge investment by the new regime with Brian Josten and Daniel and Henrik Sedin at the helm.

So we're kind of asking, like, in terms of contracts that age well or not, you know, Kami, you just went to see Vladi Guerrero.

Now you bring in the other Sedins as co-presidents, Ryan Johnson as the GM, they got Manny Malhotra, former Canuck.

former hurricane as your head coach and he was obviously great with abbott's fern and of course now there's a lot of young guys on this roster that they're going to have this year so having him going to be there is probably a good stepping stone but yeah for nebraska i mean it's good that you know he's kind of saying like i don't i want to be i'm committed i want to be here now it's i can back it up on the ice and i say that too because you know he did leave the team in goals last year But also it's 19 power play goals out of 23.

You can't afford, you can't afford even strength goals the entire year.

So at the very least, you would think it's a bit of a retool, a refresh out there in Vancouver, and you mentioned the Sedins and, of course, Berkey working the draft floor deal and such to bring them all together for Vancouver way back when, and the rest, as they say, has been history.

How about one of the sons, Gord? Daniel or Henrik, I should probably know this, but of course an aspiring soccer player that professionally has been granted an opportunity out there in Vancouver too within the Whitecaps organization and things of that nature.

But it'll be interesting to see how they kind of get that ship back on the rudders or at least try to out there in Vancouver.

So what do you make of a deal like that for a kid who's 20, who has not played a lot in the NHL, all of a sudden getting $9.3 million-plus.

I mean, Vancouver in some ways has to do it, obviously.

They've got to stabilize that situation with the Sedins out there taking more of an active role now.

What do you make of the contract that he got, one of those ones where you pay him more now and you're hoping it's team-friendly by the end of it?

Maybe it was like NHL 10 or something like that.

You could-- You know how you use the Wii remote, like it has motion sensors in it, right? You, you would like thrust the Wii remote forward to check somebody, and so imagine, you know, 12-year-old me sitting in front of the TV just bam, bam, bam, bam, like truck sticking people with the Sedin twins or something like that.
