Yeah
40:07
...
40:07
in media and, and I, I think that was part of it.
40:10
As you were playing, you were analyzing it.
40:13
And now when I watch it, I watch it as a fan of the game.
40:17
I, uh, pay a little extra attention to the goaltending, how they move, how they react to the good and bad that happens within games.
40:25
And then, um, the momentum swings.
44:31
Like, just before, uh, uh, we go to JB, just in terms of Ullmark, when you're playing so well and you're not getting any offense, no support, um, like a pitcher I guess, right, who's pitching, you know, one-nothing shutout and cannot get any runs here, what is that like for, for you, like, internally to deal with that? And how much can you nudge and push without feeling like you're overstepping, uh, to get the guys going?
91:01
Mm-hmm.
91:01
You know, inflammation around the heart.
91:03
I...
91:04
Like you said, I was coming out of the open heart surgery.
91:07
I was weeks away from, uh, joining the Capitals, and then, you know, one day massive pain in my chest, out my back, and, and felt tired, fatigued, sick almost.
91:18
Uh, and that's when I start to, you know, wonder what...
91:23
Th- there's a lot of uncertainty there, a lot of, uh, questions.
95:48
If it could help Henrik Lundqvist, it could really help me"?
27:20
So let our listeners know more about RP and what your current project entails.
27:26
Yeah, you know what? The first time I heard about it, I wasn't sure what it was, to be honest.
27:31
Short explanation, inflammation around the heart, and it actually forced me to retire from hockey.
27:39
So that was my first experience with it.
27:41
And to understand how serious it can be if you're not in good hands, you need good guidance.
27:49
And for me, the key was really to educate myself, understand really what it was.
27:53
So Now I work with Connexa, and my goal is just to spread awareness about it and encourage people to talk to their doctors and educate themselves.
30:32
What's one major storyline that's really caught your attention in the early days of these playoffs?
25:41
Uh, I know you have a hi- history with it, and you're working on it now, so let our listeners know more about RP and what your current project entails.
25:50
Yeah, you know what? The first time I heard about it, I wasn't sure what it was, to be honest.
25:55
Uh, short explanation, uh, inflammation around the heart, and, uh, it actually forced me to retire from hockey.
26:03
So that, that was my first experience with it, and to understand, you know, how serious it can be, uh, if you're not in good hands.
26:11
You, you need good guidance and, uh, for me, the key was really to educate myself, understand really what it was.
26:18
So now I work with Connexa, and, and my goal is just to spread awareness about it and, and encourage people to talk to their doctors and educate themselves.
26:28
Uh, there's a lot of people dealing with, uh, recurrent pericarditis in the United States, so, uh, I hope through this campaign, you know, you can go to lifedisrupted.com and, and find out more about it.
27:13
How long did it take, uh, for you to get the diagnosis to, before you, y- they figured out why you were feeling these symptoms?
107:46
And why do you think he's been able to handle it all?
107:48
Well, I think we all, as goalies, have different ways of getting to that place where mentally, you're sharp, you're able to handle the pressure.
107:58
Uh, I always say goaltending is about making decisions under pressure, and you can't afford any mistakes, really.
108:04
So obviously, you know that, you can feel that pressure.
108:08
And with Bob, I think he has, uh, a method where everything he does leading up to a game, in warmups or in preparation, you know, it, it's about finding that place mentally.
108:18
He looks very calm.
108:20
Um, and it's interesting, as a goalie, probably similar to a quarterback, you need to be calm in your mind, but at the same time, you need to be on your toes.
ConnorPANELIST
109:55
Can goalies kind of fix that? Is there a way to kind of, uh, figuring out your own tells and then going back the next game and having an emphasis on, you know, getting that shoulder up, watching that side of the net? Or is that just something where that was one game, we're onto the next one, he just needs to bounce back as a whole?
