Hellraiser

But yeah, Kingdom Hearts 1 through 3 and everything else coming out this week.

Also, Hellraiser Revival.

which we've talked about this a couple of times, I'm really interested in it just because I like Hellraiser, but I've seen nobody say anything about it really.

And it's 40 bucks.

Yes

... um, a franchise that a lot of people fucking hate is the subject of tonight's podcast, which we're gonna be talking about the Hellraiser franchise.

Because we didn't get a new movie, but we did get a new video game, which as of the airing of this, the embargo will have lifted, the game will be up for everybody to check out.

But Chuck and I both got a early release copy, which is a rare thing for me.

And haven't been able to do it, but, um, they reached out about Halloween, which I did not care for.

Right.

Then they reached out about Hellraiser, and Hellraiser I was really curious about because I've bitched over and over, even though I really enjoyed the Texas Chainsaw game.

I don't know if you played that one, but of all of, like, the, um, is it Gun Media? Is that the name of the company, uh, that does these little Dead by Daylight ripoffs? Of all of the ones they've done, that one I thought was genuinely fun.

I am amused to no, no end that there's Hellraiser on a [laughs] Nintendo console.

[laughs]

Experience a new chapter in the legendary horror series like never before.

Clive Barker's Hellraiser Revival takes first person action horror survival to the next level.

Wield the powers of the Genesis configuration puzzle box to survive your bargain with the infamous Pinhead.

And finally, Gears of War: E-Day out on Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

Because it's kind of a Hellraiser renaissance right now.

We got the new game is, I think if you're hearing this, it's out.

Hellraiser Revival, this kind of survival horror, uh, first person shooter.

And also, uh, both of the Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Hollywood and Orlando have big, like, huge budget Hellraiser mazes.

So Hell- Hellraiser's back, baby.

Just kidding.

Clive Barker's Hellraiser Revival.

Clive Barker's, why does that sound so familiar?

Hellraiser.

It is one that works really well 'cause it's so, it feels so real and it feels so unsettling.

It's like unrelated to Blumhouse, but I was reading a Hellraiser comic the other day and, uh, there was a whole issue about that, and it was all about the m- the male loneliness epidemic and sort of writing that into a, a Hellraiser story.

Mm-hmm.

Which it's, it's definitely an untapped market, and I think that might be why, like you say, why Obsession took off so much because-
