Hellier

Yeah, good stuff.

And they have two seasons out of Hellier.

And season three, they're hoping, will be out by the end of the year.

Everything's done.

This project made its debut at a film festival in late Zweitausendfeer in Zwanzig.

The digital series Hellier also featured a segment exploring the legend during its second season.

In the world of interactive entertainment, the creature appears as a character outfit in the popular game Fortnite during a 2000 funfunsfancish seasonal event.

Additionally, the 2000-achtsen video game Fallout Sex und Siebsisch incorporates the figure as a central element of its Appalachian folklore.

Uh, there as well with some of the chiefs buried and some of the other, um, native Americans buried that, that died along there.

So, It's kind of a, I think Eastern Kentucky gets a lot more attention because of Hellier and things like that.

But Western Kentucky is just as weird.

Yeah, I interviewed some people that had to do with Hellier and Penny Royal or whatever, the Penny Royal podcast.

They're talking about Somerset and all the weird stuff going on there.

But I like the Kelly Hopkinsville, all that, and I'm glad that they've embraced it.

You should check them out.

They did a show called Hellier about kind of about like a cryptid-y thing.

And they self-produce other stuff.

And they did a documentary called The Unbinding about... essentially like a haunted doll, haunted object thing.

I, I don't remember.

Uh, well, it certainly is part of, um, Hellier.

Oh.

Yeah.

Just thought it was cool, super into horror, and then just kinda dropped it.

Didn't think about it again until I was older, I would say early 30s, and, uh, I started watching actually Hellier, and I was like, "Hold on.

Mothman is, is a thing called a cryptid, and there's a bunch of them." Um, and not just Bigfoot, like there's a bunch of them, and so I started looking into it, all of that.

I had never heard of the Flannel Man.

We talked about, and we talked about Hellier, I think

...

I had, I had you on for corpse initially, right?

Uh, had other mylar balloon finds of, of pretty striking, uh, synchronicity on Toad Road and some other places, including in Indiana around the Whitstiker site and so forth.

About a month after we started talking about it, uh, I think it was in Hellier 2 that, uh, that documentary came out, and they started talking about mylar balloons in Hellier 2.

Obviously, they recorded it long before they published it, so they were having these things happen probably around the same time we were.

We weren't talking to them.

They live very rural.

So it didn't make a ton of sense for it to be there.

And so they, they shared the picture, and they mentioned, like, "Hey, looks like something weird might be happening." And I know we've discussed, uh, Hellier on there a lot, so, like, the idea of the balloon being some sort of synchronicity wasn't beyond anybody.

So I saw that post that he, he made of the picture of the balloon, and I was like, "Okay, that's cool.
