Hellhounds only had 16 nerf.

So he just had to spike a little bit higher and he caught the nerf check to kill off the Abyssal Hounds and Imps in one turn.

And that was so painful.

It happens at the beginning with the first kill.

It's the Hellhound.

They don't directly mention that that's what it was.

But we've seen nowadays, we've seen so many devil movies and all that kind of stuff.

But back then, they didn't actually say that at all in the movie.

But if you, like I said, watching it back then, you're probably like, oh, what does the dog have to do this? But we know about Son of Sam now.

We know about Hellhounds.

We've seen Lost Boys.

So there we go, our usual six-pack gets us into the show tonight, starting distinctively with Billy Gibbons, a new 2026 single called Hangin' on a Cliff.

Then a young band out of the UK, rather new on the scene, it's a trio called the Zack Schultzer Gang, Zack being the guitarist and singer.

One studio album released in 2025, And this single, in 2026, called Hellhounds On My Trail.

And it's in Indiana, in Portage, Indiana, as Lake Michigan kind of wraps around Indiana for a small stretch of area before, uh, heading up into Michigan, of course, and then into, uh, Illinois and y- uh, Wisconsin as well.

But yeah, so Old Porter Road has these stories of Hellhounds, these giant black dogs with glowing red or green eyes that tend to race cars or chase vehicles or plague the trains that run parallel to the road.

Which when I first went there, I was with my colleague, Kevin Lee Nelson, and we're both, uh, members of the, the, uh, hobo union, and both, um, hobos, and so we love railroad stuff.

And right away we saw the rails and thought, "Well, of course they're gonna have Hellhound stories here-

... with the rails." Yeah.

So I found it just so fascinating that it runs parallel.

So people see these, uh, Hellhounds, but there's not a long history of documented cases of them.

Huh.

It's also interesting to me that Hunt removes Baxian's identity while Baxian is chewing off Rune's hand.

I partially think it's so that Hunt can continue to respect Baxian and who Baxian has become, meanwhile continuing to resent the Hellhound because the Hellhound has its own association from Hunt's past.

I would respect you no matter what body part you had to bite off of someone else.

I mean, if you told me to bite.

They've announced a few, yeah.

Joe Donovan and Josh Bishop versus Hellhounds, Russ and Shaft, and Rich Swann.

Laney and Shaza versus the Besties.

Right.

She freed all the animals, including the lion, and basically raced in during this moment as an awesome distraction.

and was able to tackle the Hellhound and just have this whole cool little battle that allowed the party to escape along with their various spellcasting shenanigans.

I think these are caltrops here.

It was really fun, though.

I enjoyed being able to use so much of the actual content from this adventure.

And then that's what had the only other fight that we really fought was the Quentin showdown at the end, which, again, much stronger stat blocks, the Hellhound, um some of these guards and which i believe i might be yeah using the tough stat block so those are those are pretty tricky again level four remember and then uh quentin as a cultist fanatic but not have to fight for the death except for that boss battle with the bone naga this one was just like oh we need to escape and get out of here which is something i like about these heist campaigns it actually almost de-incentivizes having to battle which is very different from a lot of dnd adventures So the party is able to steal the contract from the vaults.

And by the way, there's multiple contracts there.
