And so there's 13 invisible demons that are going after her, and she has to go after them, and the goal is to destroy them all within one year, which no former demon killer over the, the millennium have been able to do yet.

Um, and the way I always kind of describe it as, like, a very elevator pitch is think of something like, uh, John Constantine: Hellblazer, but instead of a 40-year-old man, it's a 14-year-old girl, and that's basically it in a nutshell.

Hmm.

[laughs] Hmm.

Yeah, no, it's been, it's, I mean, like I said earlier in this, like, I came from non-superhero comics originally.

Like, you know, some of my first favorite comics were Hellblazer and Sandman and, you know, like Preacher and, like, all of that stuff.

So, like, I am right at home here, you know? Like, this is, I'm, like, giddy.

you know uh working on these comics um and you know obviously my history of working with paramount and licensors really really help on the licensor side navigating things like smile in a quiet place which have upcoming new media coming out right we know there's a new a quiet place movie that is coming out soon we know more smile is in development like you know so there's there's a lot of uh teased across and eyes to dot on those to make sure you know everything is going with how the studio and directors need it to be and then you have things like you know Event Horizon where the fans have been so hungry for you know 20 plus years for, you know, waiting for new material on that.

and it gives me confidence in the process that if you know you're chasing the dream and you work really hard at it that things can happen so and and it's well deserved i mean when i read it i was like holy shit and this it was right up your alley too because i know that's the kind of stuff that you like and then the fact that you actually liked it just you know reaffirmed it so yeah good on those guys uh third contact comics i think they have a sub stack on an actual website so you can visit their sub stack and uh get some more information on that But look out for that book in November.

[upbeat music] DC Comics has announced a slew of new comics hitting the compact comics line next year, kicking things off on January 5 with Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's Preacher.

Per ICv2, the same day DC will release 100 Bullets followed by Batgirl: Year One on February 16, Superman: Man of Steel by John Byrne on March 16, and John Constantine, Hellblazer and Catwoman: When in Rome both in April.

And then on July 1st, eight days before the Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow hits theaters, the publisher will release a massive Superman compact comics box set that includes four previously released Super Family compact comics as well as the thus far unannounced Superman: Brainiac by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank, and Superman's Secret Identity by Kurt Busiek and Stuart Immonen.
