Helen McCarthy

So ever since then, I've always, and y- as you know, Shirley, I always try and big up our clinical nurse specialists 'cause they do such an amazing job, and they're there.

So I've told you my doctor is Helen McCarthy.

I can't ring her up and tell her I've got a problem, but I can ring her two clinical nurse specialists up, and they will help resolve my problem.

I guess, yeah, diagnosis was tough, but at least I had an answer, and then I slowly started to learn more about the condition.

You know, it's been such a privilege to work here at ZB with some truly great broadcasters, some of them legends.

And whether it be hosts, management, producers, technical, news, politics, sport, administration, everyone here at ZB, everyone.

Just wonderful people.

And I know it's

You're only as good as the team around you.

And I've had a great team over the years.

I've had some great producers.

Most recent being Melita Tull, with me for 12 years.

I know so many have today.

She came on our show a few years back, and our producer, Helen McCarthy, at the time, was, like, shaking, like, literally quivering with excitement.

And I thought it was gonna be one of those moments, you know, they say never interview your heroes?
