The lava monster that looks like the trash monster whose name I'm forgetting, even though it's in my little Digimon.

Hedorah.

Hedorah, yeah, yeah.

It's like, oh, isn't that Hedorah coming out of the lava? Huh.

So we'll be covering the ones from 2020 to 2024.

Specifically, Godzilla appears at Godzilla Fest in 2020, Godzilla vs. Hedorah in 2021, Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex in 2022, Godzilla vs. Megalon in 2023, Gods- Fest- G- Godzilla Fest III: Gigan Attacks in 2022, Godzilla Fest 4: Operation Jet Jaguar in 2023, and Godzilla Fest 5: All Monsters Showdown in 2024.

Speaking of opening up the warehouse, let's go on to our next short, which also brought in some Godzilla memorabilia.

In 2021, they premiered Godzilla vs. Hedorah.

Now, 2021 is the 50-year anniversary of Godzilla vs. Hedorah.

It's the dumbest time to be alive.

You know what I, you know what I was trying to think of? Uh, Godzilla versus, what is it, Hedorah back in the day.

You know how Godzilla and Kong, like Godzilla absorbs the immense amounts of, like, electrical and nuclear energy and then gets supersized?

Well, I'm sure this one's not been touched upon yet, so I'll bring it up first, and then we'll get to the more obvious stuff that you may have already touched on.

Haya is doing a 2004 Hedorah and a 2004 Gigan.

Mm.

I want to buy a couple more, but I haven't for a multitude of reasons.

Do we like f- male Hedorah?

[laughs] Male Hedorah.

Yeah

... new creatures, or Hedorah or something like that, you know? But, I mean, who knows if any of those are gonna show up.

Like, I don't even know what Space Godzilla's origin is gonna be.

I mean, it's like it's, like everybody kinda knows, you know? Like, it's-

Depending on the day, de- depending on the day, my answer changes.

On a lot of days, my answer is Godzilla vs. Hedorah, uh, because, like, A, incredible design for a kaiju, B, like, extremely political and, like, environmentally-focused kaiju movie.

Mm-hmm.

You know? It's about a monster that is created because of our waste, and it was kind of r- revolutionary at the time because-

Yeah.

You know, I think it's the first time since the original Godzilla movie, which is about, like, the nuclear, uh, anxiety that people in Japan were having.

But then, like, after that, we kind of get really silly for a while, you know? Uh, and Hedorah is als- Godzilla vs.

Hedorah also has a lot of silly moments in it, but it's a really fun, silly Showa era Godzilla and, like, a return to the roots of being grounded and having a message.

I mean, this is the same guy that wrote, you know, this death scene for Doctor Who and Madame Piranha.

And he wrote the earring tearing scene in this for all monsters and everything we saw in Hedorah.

Then I believe it.

The human violence is definitely there.
