JBHOST
66:50
So, you know, it was a huge deal.
JBHOST
66:53
And then like Hector Hammond rolled out.
JBHOST
66:56
He was like, oh, hell.
CodyHOST
67:00
Hi, Hal.
ErnieHOST
74:27
I was like, okay, I guess we get something.
ErnieHOST
74:29
And then, oh, when they do the thing, when they say, oh, when he goes to the guy that, you know, supposed to be Hector Hammond, and it's like, I was like, oh, they're actually going to make Hector Hammond a Latino? That's crazy.
ErnieHOST
74:41
And it was like, oh, no, he's actually not Hector Hammond.
ErnieHOST
74:44
He's just a dude.
ErnieHOST
74:46
He's just a dude pretending to be Hector Hammond.
ErnieHOST
74:48
Don't worry about it.
ErnieHOST
74:49
Just Pakistan.
JoshHOST
96:52
And I mean, with him just being, I mean, what threats could he just do if he just do like, just don't know.
JoshHOST
96:57
I mean, I guess Hector Hammond's still out there, but I don't know how much.
SageGUEST
97:00
Hector Hammond is like a very legit, very, because he like, so like the, you know, the movie did not do that character very well.
SageGUEST
97:08
The comic version of Hector Hammond is actually a pretty cool Green Lantern villain because he like psychically like eats emotions.
SageGUEST
97:15
So he's like almost able to like consume the energy off of the ring.
SageGUEST
97:20
And it makes it hard for, like green lantern to like effectively use the ring in like a fight with hector so like there's an interesting thing you could do um i would hope i i you know in the comics it's it's almost sort of similar to like modok where like uh you could make him look really cool in a comic book because you can make him look gross like that that's how you make it effective is you make it gross and kind of body horror-esque and kind of disturbing looking and then in live action it just kind of comes across as silly you know like it's like it's like it's just some things just can look good animated and just can't just just don't translate as well so i don't know how you do that character in live action exactly um But I don't know.
SeanHOST
42:18
Too many characters introduced in too short of a time frame.
SeanHOST
42:22
And not enough focus on anybody in particular or anything in particular other than, oh, Hector Hammond is...
SeanHOST
42:31
Jeffrey Epstein and Oliver Queen is the billionaire who didn't do enough.
SeanHOST
42:39
I get that, though.

It's the kind of perfect balance of being the true detective Ozark style meets this, you know, snappy, witty comic book style of the new take on the Green Lanterns, you know, or the Lanterns.
Vikash PatelGUEST

It's a scene where we're playing, is Waylon the alien telling the truth or not? And it's a police interrogation and it's strong point of view cutting because we are with John and Kerry observing from the other side of the interrogation room at times as well it's treading that line of like oh so much suspense so much tension hints of comedy getting the audience to lean in because we're like is he telling the truth is he not and then when the bomb drops then it's getting out as quickly as possible um with so much tension as well so it was a it was a fun scene to put together and um it's probably like that scene is didn't really change after my first pass of that scene and uh you know I remember sharing it I think with Matt and Emily and you know it works it was beautifully directed it was beautifully shot actually like I I love the cinematography in that scene you know when we're outside the room and we're looking in from John and Kerry's point of view you can see even though we're on the backs of John and Kerry you can see their reflection you can see their faces with Waylon the character that plays Waylon and with Kyle you can just see that you know and it was so evocative in the way that it was all kind of captured which just made my job a lot of fun and I was able to kind of notch up the tension as we progressed through that scene I remember going into the Hector Hammond scene I kept referencing that

How do you judge editing? We just had the Emmy Awards shortly before this interview.
DakotaHOST
57:45
They wanted to separate it as much as possible from Green Lantern, 2011.
DakotaHOST
57:49
And actually, they introduced the character that became the villain in the 2011 series, Hector Hammond.
DakotaHOST
57:57
You know, like, the Brainiac guy, the guy with the huge head in the 2011 movie.
DakotaHOST
58:02
He was just a normal guy who was just, like, the in-between between Zoe and the Lanterns.
RockyHOST
105:12
Anyways, uh, I thought this was well done.
RockyHOST
105:15
I love the fate of Hector Hammond here.
RockyHOST
105:18
I thought that was good.
RockyHOST
105:20
I was actually surprised that Hector Hammond appears to have been died.
RockyHOST
105:25
I don't believe for a moment he's going to stay dead.
RockyHOST
105:27
Because remember in the mainstream universe, Hector Hammond ends up with a big head.
RockyHOST
105:31
So I have a feeling Hector Hammond is going to be returning in some different form one way or the other.
RockyHOST
105:36
But...
SavannahGUEST
22:38
Then we find out part this other thing.
SavannahGUEST
22:42
There's Hector Hammond and lots of bad guys.
SavannahGUEST
22:46
So even in this like six issue run, there's a lot that's going on.
SavannahGUEST
22:51
But I feel like over the course of the issues, I did understand what was happening.

AnneHOST
57:17
We're getting the superhero book going.
AnneHOST
57:19
We fight the Manhunters a little bit, which are super cool.
AnneHOST
57:22
We fight Hector Hammond once, who's a fucking creep.
AnneHOST
57:25
There's a new villain, the shark.
GregHOST
66:15
... uh, apparently killing her.
GregHOST
66:16
Carrie helps Hal and John trace the attack to Atlas Sync owner Hector Hammond, who claims to be a decoy and identifies Will as the Manhunter.
GregHOST
66:25
Hal instead deduces that Zoe is the Manhunter and accuses John of hiding this from him.
GregHOST
66:30
After John calls, uh, a time to arrange a meeting, Hal jumps from their car, causing it to crash with John inside.
FrankGUEST
69:32
... an- it kinda figures itself out.
FrankGUEST
69:33
But I, I still have doubts like you now.
GregHOST
69:36
In this, uh, episode, like Hector Hammond, he's the, the guy that worked at the, who, at Atlas who, you know, shot down Zoe's truck or whatever.
GregHOST
69:45
Like Hector Hammond was like the main, uh, one of the main villains I think in the Green Lantern movie.
CharlesHOST
29:34
Yeah, exactly.
CharlesHOST
29:35
And here we meet, so the government gets, uh, you know, the body, and they bring this guy Hector Hammond played by, uh-
IvanHOST
29:43
He's the, and the, and the actor who plays him-
CharlesHOST
29:44
... from SARS Guard
IvanHOST
30:49
I, I love the, I love the Arrow universe, but it lets, it's not exactly-
CharlesHOST
30:53
Yeah.
CharlesHOST
30:53
So H- Hector Hammond, w- we don't get really any backing.
CharlesHOST
30:57
We just kind of know he's a scientist.
