Heavenly Mountain Resort

Well, up until January 1998, at least.

To kick off the new year, Sonny went on a family skiing trip to Heavenly Ski Resort in California.

He was skiing with his then-wife, Mary Whitaker, and their two children when he left them to ski alone.

The rest of his family waited at the bottom of the slope for Sonny to ski down, but hours later there was still no sign of him.

It benefits the Boys and Girls Club.

So you know at Heavenly Valley when you're in South Lake Tahoe and you can see the ski run that comes straight down the mountain and then it goes right into Ski Run Boulevard and it looks like you're going to ski down the mountain and right down into the street into the lake.

So of course that was dry but Ski Run Boulevard was lined with Not just breweries, but cideries and hard kombuchas and squeaky wheel wine cocktails.

Where are you right now?

I am currently sitting at Heavenly Mountain Resort in lovely South Lake Tahoe, so... beautiful, sunny view of the lake from my office.

I'm not suffering.

So did you, did you race for, when you started racing, were you racing there with at heavenly part of the race team?

So I was a heavenly Valley blue angel, blue angels, which was, uh, yeah, which was kind of a, the, yeah, I'm proud to, Proud to say that I was a Blue Angel.

It's pretty cool.

I always thought that was cool.
