Heathmont

Jim in Ballarat.

Chris in Heathmont.

We'll get you to the next.

You were Dwayne's World.

Still a heap of stuff that I'd like to get to, but we've still got a full board of calls.

So let's get straight back to your calls.

Chris in Heathmont.

Welcome to you, Chris.

I'm speaking with a couple of shops today.

Just up at my little local shopping centre in Heathmont, there's going to be a little sign that describes the project and a little container that has the postcard sitting in it.

People can take a postcard and on the back there's a space where they can write someone a nice little message.

It could be a stranger.

Yeah.

So, yeah, that's kind of where that little project is at the moment.

So it's nothing big or fancy but, yeah, I'm certainly hoping that there's the ripple effect of I hope it will be, yeah, I hope it will turn into that and, you know, the community of Heathmont start just talking about how happy they felt when they received a card or how lovely it felt to actually take the time to write someone a little note.

And I've had visions of – no.

A little bit of football in your background or were you pushed in the football direction in any way or was it just a choice of your own?

Yeah, my family's pretty big at my local club at Heathmont.

My pop and my mum are life members and then my older brother played at Heathmont as well.

So I'd always watch him and run water for him.

Oh, nice work.

How important is it to have a good local club, Jordan, to keep your love of the game alive as you're coming through the system?

Yeah, it's so good.

The Heathmont supported me so well.

And I would love to be able to access some of my super to be able to pay it.

I have a 20-year-old and an 18-year-old who are becoming more independent, and I live in Heathmont near Ringwood, but I also work in dentistry, and I find it unbelievable that people can access their super to pay for dental work.

Yep.

And I can't access anything to help pay for my mortgage.
