It's okay, brother.
27:03
[laughs] But, um, the other thing is, one of the things that makes me very nervous is, um, David was the most significant popularizer of biblical counseling, uh, in the history of the contemporary movement since the '60s, and what happened is that it became cool, uh, to be friends with David.
27:20
And now that David is in heaven and can't defend himself, there...
27:25
It's, it's kind of a popular thing for everybody to talk about, "Hey, here's how close I was with David." There were a lot of people that were in David's orbit who loved him and who he loved that, that did not agree with him.
27:34
Uh, and so I'm nervous about getting into some sort of contest about, um, um, about David because honestly, we're biblical counselors, not because of our affiliation with any one person but because of our commitment to the text of scripture.
27:48
That's, that's where the acid test is.
27:49
But you asked the question, and I, and I'm happy to answer it, so with that qualifier, I, I will say, uh, David was one of my very best friends.
