Health Sciences Centre and all the other centers of excellence for health in our province work together, but HSC is, is the largest.

Why, why is this such a big deal for you, Milt, all these years later?

Man, it's so important.

It's so important, uh, because you need to understand what the Health Sciences Centre does for, for individuals throughout Manitoba.

The services, uh, uh, the healing, the, the research, the doctors, the nurses, uh, they're, they're so top-notch.

They're so, uh, in tune to what they're doing.

You can buy a ticket to get in on a 50/50, that's over one million dollars.

He's only three.

So she calls me on the way home from the hospital and she goes, "They're rushing us to, uh, to Winnipeg," we lived in Manitoba at the time, "to the Health Sciences Centre." They go, "There's something wrong with his kidneys." And I goes, "With his kidneys? Like, what?" Yeah, anyways, so I was going, I, I was so thrown, right? 'Cause this is your healthy kid when you went to work in the morning.

I'm going like, "What, what's going on?" Right? So, um, they, uh, diagnosed him with kidney failure.

Um, and our first stay in the hospital I think was a month.
