He Who Fights with Monsters

And I do need to go in and do some stuff at the restaurant, but it is technically the day we're closed at the restaurant, so...

I'm hoping to read a little bit more, but I am still on He Who Fights With Monsters book two.

Currently, I'm kind of not loving it as much as the first one.

I feel like the author, if he had had an editor, would have said, you need to write in something that is going to make people care about what's going on.

In the wake of that success, it is not the only lit RPG book that is giving the tabletop treatment.

The folks behind Battletech and Shadowrun, otherwise known as Catalyst, of which I have a love-hate relationship with, have optioned He Who Fights With Monsters, another lit RPG book in very much the same style as Dungeon Crawler Carl, with maybe a more high fantasy tint to it, has announced that they're going to be doing uh, a, a book, a tabletop book based on that, our, that, our, that setting, uh, which I think is really, really cool.

Uh, and it's going to be based off of the dice core rule set, which is, uh, was designed specifically for, uh, the Voltron TTRPG, which we have not talked about yet.

And one day we will, uh, and the Frostpunk TTRPG.

Well, I am taking a rest from He Who Fights With Monsters.

And I figured, what the hell? I wanted a little Denim in action.

So I grabbed Denim's standalone book, Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon.

He really does stand out.

And it's just like, it's hard to find, you know, and even when people say, oh yeah, you got to read this one.

Like he who fights with monsters.

I have gotten my hands on He Who Fights With Monsters book two, and I'm excited to read that.

And then I also picked up this other book that's called Severance, No Relation to the Show.

Well, I'm continuing to read He Who Fights With Monsters.

I'm into book three now.

Good.

It's been a long while.

Well, I finished He Who Fights With Monsters.

I did really like it.

I gave it four stars because it was a good wild ride, but kind of the same thing I was saying the last episode we did about how the romance part was very nonchalant.

So...

That would be nice to hear.

My next book is going to probably be He Who Fights With Monsters book two, which I have already I should have in my hands tomorrow.

And I am still reading Life As We Knew It, which is a book I read in middle school and loved.

Um, I have a little update on my book corner.

I am so, so close to being done with He Who Fights With Monsters.

I do really like it.

I feel like I have seen now that I've been reading it and like watched one TikTok about it, you know.

I started, I finished, I think I talked about finishing Primal Hunter 15, so I started Dark Ages, which is the fifth book in Red Rising.

That should carry me over until mid-October when the next He Who Fights With Monsters comes out, and then I'll go back and do the last book of Red Rise and be done with that.

Then I don't know what I'll do next.

Been playing some Outer Worlds, but most probably got these Doritos we should try real quick.
