No offense to Haynes King.

He does not read defenses as a passer the way he needs to.

His first year, he had 27 touchdown passes, but he also had 16 picks defensively.

No, I don't think he would at all.

I mean, you've got to find a way to stress defenses, and Florida State's offense just doesn't really do that a whole lot.

And I think a lot of that, too, comes back to quarterback play, right? You saw what he did with Haynes King.

Now you see what he's doing with Aaron Filo, a guy that he brought over from Georgia Tech with him.

And, uh, said basically, uh, "I don't want you as my quarterback." And, you know, and then he goes with, uh, Buster Faulkner, the Georgia Tech, uh, OC, and then he brought in Philo with him, who was a four star, you know.

And, uh, Georgia Tech's offense, you know, really lit it up with Haynes King the last few years, so he went that direction.

And, you know, you got Jayden Ball, an All American running back, one of the best in the country, no doubt about it.

And I didn't get to watch any of the Florida-Auburn game.

Well, Joel Klatt just studied him all week.

So I'm going to kick back and watch this for the next three hours, because I want to be proven wrong that I just think he's a, he's Haynes King.

But then he proved to be maybe not even Haynes King.

He was just, He missed so many throws in that game.

And I say this all the time.

I don't want that.

I want a quarterback that can distribute, play point guard, right? Like I said, he's playing like Chris Paul right now, depending on how you feel.

Which, by the way, if you're low on Chris Paul, you're just wrong.

when you have an OC that can dial up ball plays.

Golly, that is gonna, what did you see repeatedly from Haynes King? How does that guy continue to beat me? Because that coach knows what he's doing.

That coach understands what you're doing, and I'm gonna attack what you're doing, and I'm gonna live in all these different worlds and make you defend all these different things, and ball's just the next freak that's gonna be fed.

And what's amazing watching the progression in the game is like, okay, we're going to do this, we're going to do this, we're going to attack sort of strong side with these things.

He has always been able to adapt.

And part of the time, especially when Haynes King, I'll go into him in a second, was banged up, they had to run the ball even more than they probably wanted to in different ways.

Adjusted.

Tight ends are a part of it.

He used his tight ends in a variety of ways to create running lanes for the backs and for Haynes King.

You have to adapt.

The most stubborn people on earth, I say this all the time, are politicians closely, closely followed by college football coaches.

When every second counts, count.

They lost their entire offense.

They lost Haynes King, who was the program for about two, three seasons there.

So they're resetting.
