Hawaiʻi Community College

That is absolutely fantastic.

Some of the past beneficiaries for the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival last year, Culinary Institute of the Pacific, the Hawaii Ag Foundation, Imua Family Services, the Hawaii Community College, Maui College, Leeward Community College, Kauai Community College.

And it's just this is one of those organizations that really gives back so that it can cultivate the talent that is coming out of Maui as we build really the Hawaiian, the Polynesian cuisine, have it all married together.

Also, one thing about Hawaii, and specifically in Maui, and even more specifically the Kwanapali Beach Resort, is that it really does justice to the rich history and culture of Hawaii.

I didn't before, and that's kind of the interesting place it started, because what I do have is a background in the Adobe Creative Suite.

My day job is teaching art here at Hawaii Community College.

That explains a lot.

I'll tell you how it started is I actually was hand-making scratch-built parts, things like tail-wheel doors and bulkheads and stuff, and I realized if I actually drew them in Illustrator, just printed about on paper, and then I would use school glue and I'd paste them to a styrene sheet or some metal sheet or something, and then I'd just cut it out by hand, and it would give me a nice template to get a really nice, clean part that way.

The hearing at Bachman Hall on the UH Manoa campus began at 1130.

Hearings are also planned for UH Hilo, Hawaii Community College, and UH Maui College later this month.
