Our sources at The Slab and Tipple are reporting that Robert Irwin will be hosting this season's Dallium Awards.

Robert is fast becoming the face of the Australian television industry, having already hosted the Logies as well as Have You Been Paying Attention, two of the biggest gigs in world entertainment.

Irwin is a massive Caloundra Sharks fan and is hoping to also help head their bid to become the 28th franchise come 2040.

When asked about his upcoming date with the Dally later this month, young Bobby said, This is a dream come true, and I can't wait to not only show my fancy footwork on the biggest stage in world sport, but also to hand out awards to the likes of Uppy Coruscant and Racing the Grid.

And since then, it has been a fast rising trajectory for this Wagga based comedian with a whirlwind of corporate gigs, tours and festival runs as both a solo artist and as part of Aboriginal.

Dane has appeared on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala, the opening night comedy all-star super show, Channel 10's Have You Been Paying Attention, Get Cracking, and in feature film rom-com The Merger.

He also produces the monthly Riverina Comedy Club and is a program producer to the Wagga Comedy Festival and at the moment is incredibly busy because he is on his regional run of his current show, Always Was, Always Will Be Funny.

Ten years of doing comedy, so it's a real sort of a pool of all of my shows.

I'm pulling out all of my favorite sort of yarns and silly stories and things that have happened along the way.

Doing shows like Have You Been Paying Attention is just crazy to me.

I think I grew up not expecting to be on television.

The author is showing and urging us, believe it, because what the Lord says is deadly serious and it will absolutely, certainly come true.

And the question that lurks behind this story is, have you been paying attention? There's a quiz show on TV at the moment that mixes news and comedy.

I don't know if you've seen it.

A panel of Australian comedians, people like Sam Pang, Ed Caverley, Nick Malloy, Kitty Flanagan, Mel Bracewell, and they're all quizzed on the previous week's news stories and they make outrageous, quick as lightning and funny replies.
