Yeah.

So we kind of had like this kind of side view of watching some of these bands that they were taking chances on in the same way that we would have taken chances on, you know, bands to like maybe like have heart and verse and ceremony, you know, just one kind of like, I don't know, six, seven years earlier.

Yeah, yeah.

Yeah, I feel like Bridge Nine was, like, a little adjacent to what was happening.

Yeah.

So I do feel like there is some adjacency.

And I think like, you know, like Have Heart and Verse and those kind of bands, I feel sort of did in a way like pave the way a little bit for some of this stuff to happen.

Like they kind of made a space for hardcore that was a little bit more sensitive, I think.

The emotional aspect probably is kind of like a, some type of pull on that.

Cause like hardcore as a whole is always, regardless of even like the softest bands, it's always been like pretty aggressive, but like not like, um depending on what type of band maybe now it's like emotionally in tune like it's not like every and not every band's have heart you know yeah for sure like uh so all right very interesting and had you encountered you talk about kind of like finding like like the screamo stuff prior to that you'd been to like bigger hardcore and punk shows did you have any sort of inkling or knowledge of like a local scene of like stuff that was like smaller

I kind of, I didn't honestly, like I went, I feel like the first, the first show I like ever went to was descendants when I was super young.

And that's just like a concert.

We just didn't really get the, we were like close, but missing the mark kind of.

Yeah.

I feel like the comeback kid have heart Bain are all kind of like I feel like what I heard on the demo was like y'all doing kind of like late 90s almost, and I feel like all the things you're mentioning, the comeback kid, the Bane, the half-heart, is like what came after that stuff.

Yeah, what was cool about the demo was we had like... we kind of knew what was up with the vibe.

Um, cool.

Um, have heart verse bomb shelter.

Oh yeah.

That was well bomb shelter too.

Um, we were packed in there like sardines.

It was supposed to be a house show.

And then the locals played have heart and verse were so late that the show got shut down right after composure set or during, and we were trying to figure it out.

We moved it.

And, and, and just getting to meet so many different people from different scenes that have, have s- seen us for the first time or seen us from random festivals or shows or...

We've done show- we've done shows with Have Heart.

We've done shows with The Wonder Years.

And getting to see, meet someone and, and be like, "I saw you four years ago in Boston," or, "I saw you, like, two or three years ago in Boston with Have Heart, and I...

As soon as I saw you were playing Warped Tour, I had to come out." Um, it's just really...

Yeah, it's just really crazy.

Talk about some old man shit to sit here and talk about the weather, but...

when we did that have heart show in a parking lot in Worcester.

I checked the weather three times a day for the two months before that, like to see what was nudging one way or the other.

And it wasn't on some, like, I wasn't going to freak out one way or the other, but it was something where I was like, I need to be aware of this up until the moment, the last song.

stuff you may not like, but it's like pretty much me and Potato's hardcore, right? For sure.

I mean? It might be like going from Ceremony to Have Heart to something else.
