Haute Route

Uh, did a lot of long ski traverses in the Canadian Rockies.

Uh, yeah, Haute Route in Europe.

Skied the, skied the length of the Tetons.

These things were just...

Eight days of hiking.

And the whole, um, Haute Route is, um, I think 14 days.

Wow.

But we did a shortened version.

I fly to Europe and I do ultralight backpacking from Chamonix to Zermatt.

It's called the Walker's Haute Route and it's 120 miles, 35,000 feet of vertical.

So that helps me get my vertical for my Unsmallable 60 project.

But I feel like it's going to be a really great challenge because there's no guide.

And it's because I think I'm at this place of purpose.

There has to be a purpose for all of this.

And so as much as it seems incredibly self-serving to climb, to take that trip to Europe and do the Walker's Haute route, think that the writing is the service.

And that's why I'm really trying to find a way to make my writing help others, because then maybe that's what life is asking of me.
