Arundhati BaitmangalkarHOST
2:01

Arundhati BaitmangalkarHOST
3:34
It just won't be my face and my head because I'm unable to get anything to function with this internet outage.
Arundhati BaitmangalkarHOST
3:42

Arundhati BaitmangalkarHOST
3:47

OsmanHOST
81:31
Not only do I, like, in addition to my protocols, just for your understanding, like Hatha Yoga, I'm doing like only 15-20 minutes a day, right? But I'm doing, sometimes I find, I want to do an hour a day.
OsmanHOST
81:44
I want to do two hours a day.
OsmanHOST
81:46
I like to do, like many, I enjoy Hatha Yoga.
OsmanHOST
81:48
I enjoy it so much, right? I want to do longer and longer, but I don't have to, I have to balance my time.
OsmanHOST
81:54
So every day I do Hatha Yoga.
OsmanHOST
81:56
Every day I do four types of Pranayama, right? And every day I do, you know, my Kriya practice.
OsmanHOST
82:04
Every day I meditate, right? On the delta level, you know, where flatline on the, the, the, the ECG, electroencephalograph, EEG machine, electroencephalograph, encephalograph machine, right? You know, I go into Samadhi on a daily basis, right? So I told you, Satya Yoga, Pranayama, Kriya, right, of Yogananda, I do my meditation daily, and I do my incantations, right? I do my protection incantations daily and I do my formations like to boost my energy practices.
OsmanHOST
51:00
So I'm confident that it is so important.
OsmanHOST
51:02
That's how important Hatha Yoga is.
OsmanHOST
51:04
It is look like just like people talk so lowly of it.
OsmanHOST
51:07
I feel, you know, my heart is so sore when I hear people say, ah, we don't twist ourself into a pretzel.
OsmanHOST
51:38
When the Kundalini energy awakens in you, automatically you become very, more and more elastic.
OsmanHOST
51:43
And the higher the energy, when you're on grandmaster level, you become, then you become like a noodle, right? You can twist yourself around like a noodle, right? Not just like a pretzel.
OsmanHOST
51:56
But it's number one foundation is your Hatha Yoga.
OsmanHOST
52:01
In addition to these five things, you know, your core of your employment, your gainful employment and your tribe and territory, right? Where you normally like to hang out in, like your online portals, your podcast, selection of your portals, but also physical environments.
Kate McKenzieGUEST
7:35
They weren't vinyasa classes.
Kate McKenzieGUEST
7:36
They were mostly Hatha, um, some Kundalini, there was a Kundalini instructor, um, but it was just like a really soft, gentle place for me to land.
Kate McKenzieGUEST
7:48
There was a mix of different people and bodies and I'd be practicing next to a man who I'm pretty sure was like 81 years old next to someone who was like also in a very different place in life than me.
Kate McKenzieGUEST
8:00
So it wasn't, it was just like a really diverse studio at the time.
Kate McKenzieGUEST
8:46
So I was a teacher already in terms of like understanding, quote unquote, what the general like field of teaching means.
Kate McKenzieGUEST
8:54
But I had experienced so much with it that I really wanted to, or felt really called to also share it and to facilitate some of that experience, that kind of holding space experience for others and found, um, my, my, my training comes from Pranakriya yoga, which is a kind of branch off Kripalu yoga.
Kate McKenzieGUEST
9:15
So Tantra Hatha and, um, my teaching journey began in 2012.
Kate McKenzieGUEST
9:20
And, um, I'll also kind of note that just in case there are other listeners out there, I registered for teacher training.
Joseph RodriguesHOST
22:19
As a matter of fact, I have an original print looking right behind me under the alias Yogi Ramacharaka.
Joseph RodriguesHOST
22:28
He wrote a book called Hatha Yoga right behind me.
Joseph RodriguesHOST
22:32
So he said in his wonderful book, Practical Mental Influence.
Joseph RodriguesHOST
22:39
Now, as I say this, it's an interesting nuance point, okay? This entire world appears to reflect exactly what you think.
Umang TyagiGUEST
22:02
And the combination of these, the combined, when these come together, Hakar and Thakar, they become Hath.
Umang TyagiGUEST
22:09
Hath Yoga, essentially.
Umang TyagiGUEST
22:10
Okay.
Umang TyagiGUEST
22:11
And that's the purpose of life.
OsmanHOST
47:18
And now they don't have really, I used to love listening to rave music, right? And it's not very easy to find and popular.
OsmanHOST
47:29
But I found new music that I found recently is deep house music, you know, because not so easy to find good trance music and maybe i'm evolving right and then some of the classics like beethoven classic moonlight sonata you know the it's absolutely amazing right to listen to some of the classics because very nuanced music right so depending on the mood i mean and so forth but for yoga and meditate for yoga not meditate for yoga and breath work and so forth and my Kriya practice which takes like about two and a half hours a day right just the breath work and the Kriya practice and the yoga combination because I spend do about a hundred rounds of Kriya about an hour and a half of Kriya and 30 minutes of breath work and 10 minutes of Kapalbhati warm-up and warm-up type of breath work that activates the nitric oxide and about 15-20 minutes of Hatha Yoga, right? That makes about two and a half hours a day.
OsmanHOST
48:34
In that entire time, I'm listening to my favorite channels, right? Like I like, as I mentioned, you know, gym music and so forth, right? And this is like very, like I like something upbeat, you know? And I absolutely love working out, you know, when when I learned to listen to music while working out, when I used to work out with weights and so forth, and I found it is absolutely an amazing time out, like that feeling like I loved what I was doing.
OsmanHOST
49:11
You know, that feeling of love came and it's an amazing antidepressant.

Gotta get there
Lynn RozzakGUEST
43:26
... you would come on Monday 'cause we had, uh, Hatha Yoga on Monday, and that is, um- It's deep Hatha yoga, and it's a basic level yoga class.
Lynn RozzakGUEST
43:37
N- I'm not saying it's not a challenge, right?
Nyke HarrisonCORRESPONDENT
43:39
Mm-hmm.
Jasmine NewsomeHOST
19:16
Yeah, yeah.
FloHOST
19:17
But a Hatha class, or even a Vinyasa class-
Jasmine NewsomeHOST
19:22
Mm
FloHOST
19:22
... arguably, maybe also those classes which claim to combine several different things, like flow to yin or, you know-
FloHOST
20:29
Mm
Jasmine NewsomeHOST
20:29
... yeah, there is ...
Jasmine NewsomeHOST
20:31
I often think that when you go to a new class, and especially if it is, like, a Hatha flow, a mindful flow, a Vinyasa flow, something like that, even a flow to restore-
FloHOST
20:40
Mm
OsmanHOST
13:19
And they even passed away, you know, with illnesses that they ought not to have had, had they been consistent in the practice.
OsmanHOST
13:28
It's, how can someone who's advanced in yoga and meditation, it's very unlikely for them who's following a proper yogic diet, and doing the Hatha Yoga, you know, just 10-15 minutes a day of Hatha Yoga, about 15, 10-15 minutes of, you know, Pranayama, right? And just doing like 10-15 minutes of meditation, right? You're just doing that and not even doing your Kriya practice, right? you're not supposed to suffer with asthma or die from asthmatic attack.
OsmanHOST
14:13
Not that it's a cure for it, but it tremendously decreases it because it attacks your immune system through your lungs.
OsmanHOST
14:24
The lungs of asthmatic people are the weaker point of the body that the immune system is compromised.
OsmanHOST
14:33
in that but your yogic lifestyle the combination of your practices of breathwork, hatha yoga, meditation.
OsmanHOST
14:44
And for those who's advanced in pranayama can activate the Kriya system, which is taking it more on a serious level and want to fast forward your progression.
OsmanHOST
15:00
And when we say fast forward, doesn't mean you going to attain the highest levels in your lifetime.
OsmanHOST
18:11
Sanskrit has got like over 20 meanings, you know, but the meaning that I would attribute that's most appropriate from my perspective and opinion and experience in 50 years of practice that it's applying force and then relaxing.
