And he, you know, he was a lock him up and throw away the key cop.

And he came out quoting Harvey Silverglate's three felonies a day.

But there were a lot of people like that on the right and people like Donald.

I mean, Donald Trump signed the First Step Act, which was a significant federal reform about, you know, for people who had committed felonies and things like that.

They can build a case against you whether you've done anything or not.

Harvey Silverglate, the co-founder of the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, also called FIRE, and before retiring, an attorney, writer, and journalist, wrote a book.

In his book, Three Felonies a Day, he pointed out that the United States is so over-legislated, so over-regulated, that the average American, on the average day, going about their normal business, commits three felonies every single day.

That means if you're a whistleblower and the government wants to get you in order to stop you, to silence you, they will find a way to get you legally, though it still may not stop you.

You're getting six months for something.

It's that Harvey Silverglate, three felonies a day world has really, I mean, I think if we look wistfully back at just three felonies a day, oh, come on, you're not trying.

What's going on?

There's a guy who wrote a book a few years ago.

His name is Harvey Silverglate, and it was, uh, Three Felonies a Day.

He said the law has become so complex that most people don't know that they're committing, on average, about three felonies a day.

[laughs] And when you look at the things that they charge people for as felonies, I, I think he's spot on, actually.

They're coming after him for three felonies.

I guess Harvey Silverglate was right.

We commit three felonies a day [laughs].

Um, and, uh, mischief of property damage worth more than a thousand dollars and property crimes against computer equipment supplies.

When you look at the fact, and we saw this with DOGE, they can go through a massive amount of data and find the needle in that haystack.

And of course, uh, we all know that we commit three felonies a day, [laughs] as Harvey Silverglate talked about years ago.
