Um, and so, uh, it just sets the table for, you know, a character study on these two guys who become entangled in, in one another's sort of stories, and I, I, I thought it was really good.

Totally.

Um, and i- you know, like I said before, I w- I was kinda watching it through the lens of, um, being a Shane Black, I don't know if I'd go so far as say fan, but I, I appreciate his work.

And noticing some of those similarities, uh- I, I think at this point in his career, he picked all the elements from his previous movies that worked and decided to put them all together.

Um, but you know, I...

Yeah.

As the producer, just to kind of go backwards a little bit here, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg famously wrote the first draft of this script when they were 15 and just held on to it till they were adults, got it approved.

Obviously, this is not the same script they wrote when they were 15.

There's been major adjustments to it.

You know what's interesting is within the script, it's actually pulled back a lot more.

So a lot of the scenes that have some of the best exchanges aren't actually part of the script.

It's just things that they either wrote in later or came up with on the fly, which I think is a credit to the talent of the cast.

Obviously, it's about the experience of being teenage boys, and so that's already going to make it that way, but... also the the style of comedy i mean it's definitely it knows who its audience is and it reaches that audience really well your companion for this is the in-betweeners series with which i am very unfamiliar
