sucks anyone else Hayden Panettiere that's just really sad that whole thing I saw I Love You Beth Cooper that was a pretty good movie obviously Heroes I think people don't realise how big Heroes was at least the first season back in the day like it was huge it was like the thing that everyone was talking about and then it just kind of petered out but yeah And she was very good in that.

And that was the first bit that clued me into how creepy Harry Knowles was.

But the movie was written by Kevin Williamson and directed by Robert Rodriguez two years after his previous film From Dusk Till Dawn and three years before his next film Spy Kids, which a bit of a swerve for Rodriguez at the time.

That was good.

Good job.

But all right, here's a four-star review from Justin Liberty, friend of the show, which reads, as much as it owes to the culture of the 90s, especially in its soundtrack and its bizarre reliance on caffeine as a narrative crux, it is vastly more in common with the prior decade, as if The Breakfast Club and John Carpenter's The Thing, and perhaps They Live, converged to make the ultimate grudge match would be delinquent teens and extraterrestrial proxies for authority figures has aged surprisingly well for a movie featuring Harry Knowles as a teacher and lane Stanley covering another brick in the wall over a football game.

Oh man.

It's the kind of movie that you can see playing in Austin, like all that Adam Wingard stuff or, um, Ty West.

You can just see this playing at South by Southwest at whatever that hootenanny is they have after hours with like in previous days, like Harry Knowles would have been there on a throne and everyone would have their, you know, rump roast going bacon and armadillo ripping off farts and like whatever shitty eighties nostalgic ripoff thing with Elijah Wood was that one guns akimbo or VFW and some movie that looks like you're watching maniac cop from 1988 with the WOR Sheen and the blues and the reds.

And you can just see all these Austin fat bodies just like, yeah, man, eighties ain't a cool woo.

Uh, it's very much that, but because here's what it is.
