Harrison Biggins

So I think the front end of the pitch is really promising.

And Biggins as well has just decided to score worldies.

He obviously had his 70-yarder the week before.

He had one that hit the inside of the post and came out a volley from about 40 yards.

So look, it's still early days.

I think he's got a lot of credit in the bank for what he's managed so far and, And I do feel that, yeah, the way we're setting up, we're making the most of the limited assets that we've got.

And I think the way we're trying to capitalise on the pace that we've got in Bamba and Gwengwe, the way we're using Doidge's physicality, the way we're using Biggins's energy and running, you know, we're making the most of the ingredients that we've got out of the supermarket bag.

It's interesting because one of the things I'm really interested to see, now you're saying, Ed, that the window's closed, what can you do in terms of bringing players through, looking at style, coaching, that sort of stuff.

I was like, shit, I put a few quid on that.

Yeah, the one positive from that for Newport would have been the goal by Harrison Biggins.

I'm going to jump in on that because I think you're right, but my concern at this point is that we are... quite paper thin and I think we're two or three big injuries to big players away from being in real trouble I think you look at that midfield if Harrison Biggins was to suddenly get cropped for three months in defense of Kyle Cameron was to get cropped for three or four months you know either of the wide players you know there's not a lot of depth there so I think the next whatever it is two three days are going to be quite big to get not just bodies into the club, but some actual quality, particularly in midfield.

I know we signed this lad, Dibley Dias from Fulham, the vicar of Dibley, Dwayne Dibley.

You know, he might be very good.

Mullins clearly knows him, thinks he can do a job.

Can he be a Biggins replacement if Biggins is out for three, four games or for longer? That's a question mark for me.

I worry about what's going to happen, not now in August or in September, but once you get into November and niggles and injuries and suspensions and all the rest of it are kicking in, have we got the strength and depth? I think my feeling is probably that we don't, but it's about how many points we can accumulate now.
