RhysHOST

So I think the front end of the pitch is really promising.
RhysHOST
12:15
And Biggins as well has just decided to score worldies.
RhysHOST
12:18
He obviously had his 70-yarder the week before.
RhysHOST
12:21
He had one that hit the inside of the post and came out a volley from about 40 yards.

Ed BridgesPANELIST

So look, it's still early days.
Ed BridgesPANELIST
18:16
I think he's got a lot of credit in the bank for what he's managed so far and, And I do feel that, yeah, the way we're setting up, we're making the most of the limited assets that we've got.
Ed BridgesPANELIST
18:32
And I think the way we're trying to capitalise on the pace that we've got in Bamba and Gwengwe, the way we're using Doidge's physicality, the way we're using Biggins's energy and running, you know, we're making the most of the ingredients that we've got out of the supermarket bag.
Ian StreetPANELIST
18:48
It's interesting because one of the things I'm really interested to see, now you're saying, Ed, that the window's closed, what can you do in terms of bringing players through, looking at style, coaching, that sort of stuff.
CharliePANELIST
20:37
I was like, shit, I put a few quid on that.
Greg CaineHOST
20:39
Yeah, the one positive from that for Newport would have been the goal by Harrison Biggins.
Greg CaineHOST
20:46
Get the button! Where's the button? So let's just talk about it first.
Greg CaineHOST
20:50
If you haven't seen it, go and have a look because it is a great goal.
Greg CaineHOST
22:09
I can't even remember.
Greg CaineHOST
22:10
I've seen it on Premier League years.
Greg CaineHOST
22:12
Anyway, so yeah, great goal from Harrison Biggins, but I think we can all agree.
Greg CaineHOST
22:16
Keep passing.
John MurrayHOST
6:46
And it's behind for a goal kick.
John MurrayHOST
6:49
Not as good an effort as the one I saw in midweek at Salford City when Harrison Biggins scored from, I think, 15 yards inside his own half against...
John MurrayHOST
7:00
Salford for Newport Council.
John MurrayHOST
7:02
Were you there John? I was.

Matt UpsonHOST

I think Jao Pedro is probably only about a couple of feet away from blocking that.
Matt UpsonHOST
85:50
Might
John MurrayHOST
85:51
have had a chance of a Harrison Biggins.
John MurrayHOST
85:52
That's Chelsea.
John MurrayHOST
2:46
Un- under new management and had lost their first three matches this season but played really well, but then found themselves one-nil down to...
John MurrayHOST
2:56
Y- And this is the absolute beauty of going to watch live sport in that that night, I th- think that may be the longest range goal that I've ever seen, Newport's opening goal, which was scored by Harrison Biggins, what a great name that is [chuckles], from probably 15, 15 yards inside his own half maybe, maybe more than that, which gave Newport a shock lead, and, uh, Salford came back to win.
Alistair Bruce-BallHOST
3:23
Ah.
Alistair Bruce-BallHOST
3:24
Biggins with a, with a big 'un.
DannyHOST
22:26
So again, plenty of goals flying all over the place.
DannyHOST
22:29
You go to Salford on Tuesday night, 70-yard Harrison Biggins goal.
DannyHOST
22:34
Interestingly, before the pod, you'd told me that this wasn't the first time he's actually tried this.
DannyHOST
22:38
It's not, it wasn't a one-off that he's, he's scored.
Lee RooneyHOST
99:38
Jordan Marshall got his first goal for South Shields as they drew 1-1 with Spalding United.
Lee RooneyHOST
99:43
Harrison Biggins scored for Newport County in their 2-1 defeat at Salford.
Lee RooneyHOST
99:48
Have you seen the goal though, guys?
Nick BrownHOST
99:50
Yeah, I think so.
Gavin HorsfallHOST
27:38
I just tried to get a bit ahead of the mark, but no doubt about it, they're looking bad.
Gavin HorsfallHOST
27:43
And the writing was on the wall when Harrison Biggins, who we put up in the first week and who now can't stop scoring.
Gavin HorsfallHOST
27:49
Yeah, did you see that goal? What
Mark StinchcombeGUEST
27:53
was it, 75 yards, 80 yards, halfway inside his own half? I don't think I've seen anything like it.
Matt Davies-AdamsHOST
16:53
Newport had done OK at the start of the season.
Matt Davies-AdamsHOST
16:56
When you score from inside your own half, you probably think that's going to be the story of the game, as Harrison Biggins did.
Matt Davies-AdamsHOST
17:01
But then Salford scored twice late on to finally get a victory for their latest new manager.
Sam ParkinHOST
17:06
Yeah, an amazing goal for Biggins at Newport.
Jordan RichardsHOST
37:19
Newport did take the lead in the 71st minute and I think we've got to...
Jordan RichardsHOST
37:24
Shall we just end the goal of the season? already and about already um harrison biggins it must be about 70 yards gotta be yeah the thing is he's like halfway inside his own half um he's just gone for it and do you know how hard it is to do that it is ridiculous sort of get it on target um and he's caught will norris off his line Which hasn't helped his cause at all really.
Jordan RichardsHOST
37:46
And it is a wonderful, wonderful goal.
Jordan RichardsHOST
37:51
And yeah, I'll be surprised if you'll see a better goal like that in League 2 this season already.

Ed here.

I'm going to jump in on that because I think you're right, but my concern at this point is that we are... quite paper thin and I think we're two or three big injuries to big players away from being in real trouble I think you look at that midfield if Harrison Biggins was to suddenly get cropped for three months in defense of Kyle Cameron was to get cropped for three or four months you know either of the wide players you know there's not a lot of depth there so I think the next whatever it is two three days are going to be quite big to get not just bodies into the club, but some actual quality, particularly in midfield.
RhysPANELIST
6:14
I know we signed this lad, Dibley Dias from Fulham, the vicar of Dibley, Dwayne Dibley.
RhysPANELIST
6:20
You know, he might be very good.
RhysPANELIST
6:21
Mullins clearly knows him, thinks he can do a job.
RhysPANELIST
6:24
Can he be a Biggins replacement if Biggins is out for three, four games or for longer? That's a question mark for me.
RhysPANELIST
6:34
I worry about what's going to happen, not now in August or in September, but once you get into November and niggles and injuries and suspensions and all the rest of it are kicking in, have we got the strength and depth? I think my feeling is probably that we don't, but it's about how many points we can accumulate now.
RhysPANELIST
6:54
opening run of games yeah I think today's going to be tough Tramira as Risa said are in much better side than we played last season so yeah that's that's I don't know that's not very positive but there
